I would like to ask you a suggestion on a nice restaurant to spend the last night of the year. As I understood a great experience for that night is to see the fireworks on the Bosphorus.
Would you raccomend us any good place? we are a couple, but if there is music is not a problem. I would avoid fake places designed for tourists if possible.

Wife said subs or additional speakers is out of question, so I am looking for the best do-it-all soundbar possible. From reading comments it seems the new Sonos Arc Ultra just came out and it seems to be a better version of the previous Arc. Is this the one to go for if I do not plan to add any sub/speakers?

it is really time to get a new phone, because mine (S20FE) isnt charging well or lasting long. I am thinking about getting something in price range of the Nothing Phone 2 or Google Pixel Pro 8.
I am mostly using my phone for games, youtube, google maps, chrome and camera.. I am not really into social media.
What would you suggest? NP2, GP8P or maybe wait for the NP3?

2024.11.29 09:41 AcceptedSFFog Hit with BB gun walking Durant/Dana (Unit 3)
Posting for awareness. I was walking with friends 9:51PM Nov 28th on the sidewalk westbound to downtown on Durant at Dana above Unit 3 I think(South side of side walk). Just 7 feet before crossing Dana we heard what seemed like clicking and saw a black car drive up Durant closest to us(Going the opposite direction of us). I think I saw plastic hit my right chest about 3 inches up from the center point of my chest.
It seems like someone in the car may have fired BB gel bullets at us. I think the bullets linked below are what I was hit with. I was obviously shocked initially and assumed that it was just roadway plastic debris that had flown off and hit me until a bit later our group(my friend and their partner) came to the realization I had been shot at.
I wasn't hurt and I have no bruising however the situation was obviously unnerving and illegal not to mention psychopathic that someone is even driving around taking aim at random people in South Side. I called in the situation to Berkeley non emergency line in case other people in South Side were being targeted. BPD took a report and canvassed the area. An officer called me about 8 mins after my call to them.
This is not to make a case that Berkeley is unsafe or Southside is dangerous but to encourage everyone to provide concerning information to the police department even if you aren't entirely sure what happened and also to pay attention when walking with friends even in an innocuous environment.

Just did four years fed time. I have four years probation, long story. So I get out in March, go to the halfway house, I get kicked to home confinement in June and then in August my two point reduction kicks in for being a zero point offender and it eats up my home confinement time so I get off the monitor and my probation starts.
I report, get drug tested, guy does a home visit then after just two months with him being quiet he sends me a text, tells me my new low supervision PO is (Name) and her number is (blah). I text him back thanking him, asking him if there is anything I need to do differently because of that change. No response. I text the lady, asking her if there is anything I should be doing. No response. So I have just continued to file my monthly report online ever since but have had zero contact. Is that normal? Like don't get me wrong, it's great! I am just paranoid maybe. I think I got so used to being under the micron prison that it just feels weird that they aren't in my life at all.
I will add that I was incident report free my whole bid. First time non violent drug offender with no history of drug use. I'm pretty boring so maybe they just have better things to do. Also hoping to get early release from probation, anybody done that and have any insight? Thanks!!

Hi everyone,
I'd like to do a UTMB event. I've done some road marathons and ultras before (up to 70 km) and so I feel confident about the distance of a 50 km (approx) trail run.
This might sound crazy but I prefer the idea of a net uphill elevation.
Most of the events I've seen on the UTMB site are either neutral elevation (example: 2500 metres up and 2500 down, so net zero overall) or even have a net downhill profile. Does anybody know of UTMB 50 km events that have an uphill net gain? Bonus points for dry conditions that limit the amount of mandatory gear that needs to be packed (if that's at all possible).
