Hi guys, I've never posted anything on reddit before so I hope I'm doing everything right lmao, but I just had questions about getting my name legally changed. I want to do it before the inauguration.
First of all, if you guys have gotten your names legally changed, what did you put as the reason for the change? I'm not so sure I want to tell the Texan government I'm trans, but I also feel like they might not accept the reason "I just want to".
Second, how much did it cost in total? Did you have to pay little bits at a time or did you pay everything all at once?
Third, what was the actual hearing like? Was it just you in a big room with a judge and you read off of your copy of the petition? The actual hearing definitely sounds like the scariest part of it all.
And fourth, how long did the entire process take? Do I still have time to get it done before trump takes office or should I hurry up and do it?

Like can we get movies and shows about LGBTQ main characters that isn't automatically about being LGBTQ or what queer life is like. Like can we just have a gay kid/Man as a lead role who's hunting monsters of the chosen one or is exploring space with his crew and him being gay isn't some whole the thing other than who he likes/dates. Just more diversity in stories for LGBTQ characters.
Also can we get more diversity of LGBTQ characters in general? Even in your more standard queer stories not every gay male teen or adult character has to be some white twink or hunky gym rat. Not every guy has to be so butch it borders on toxic masculinity or so unrealistically stereotypically female. There are more average ranges of masculinity that alot of queer men fall into just like straight Men. Can we get more lesbians othere than just the mandatory butch with the shaved head or the safe girly girl on girl option. More than just white queer people on screen and more queer people without out perfect bodies. More diverse ranges of trans people like can we actually have trans men on screen???

Good morning everyone
Just sorting out my documentation required for my first passport application. I live in France (but am English/Irish through FBR)... So my proof of name and address documents are in French (phone bill/utility bill/bank statement)... will this be ok? The name and address are clearly stated but I'm not sure if the document needs to be in English or Irish.
Also for clarity, can i submit a bank statement for proof of address and an utility bill as proof of name (for example) or is my British passport proof of name already?
Sorry if these are silly questions!

I read this book in my school library when I was 11/12 years old so more than 10 years back. I hope I'm getting the facts correct so here goes: there was this girl in an all-girls' school who had yellow eyes (this is what I remember clearly because she was drawn on the cover with yellow eyes) and super hearing and super sharp teeth and nails - I think the other girls were teasing her & calling her a werewolf. A traveling ice-cream man - who I distinctly recall was super emotional, cried a lot - stopped by their town & needed their help because apparently bad men were chasing him. So the girl with yellow eyes teams up with 2 other girls who she met in detention & try to help the ice-cream man. A bunch of things happen, the ice-cream man turns out to be the criminal and the girl with yellow eyes turns out to be part werewolf (?). The girls were all below 15, no romance - though I think the ice-cream man liked one of the townsfolk. It's set in a small town, creepy vibe. I don't remember the ending but I'm pretty sure the name of the girl with yellow eyes started with A, most likely Adelaide. Sorry for the rambling.
