Hi Hey all! I have been running curse of strahd for my table for the past year, and we are finally approaching the end. I really want the final battle to be glorious and epic and challenging.
So far the players have had dinner with strahd and met him MANY times throughout the game. They have also had little meets with most of the brides.
Ana was the hostess at the dinner, Lud was running spooky experiments at the tsolinka pass. And esher threw a gala in vallaki.
I want the final battle to be a divide and conquer for the team and the allies they have made. That leads up to the fight with strahd.
Each bride has an accomplice and will be in a different part of the castle to start. Lud has kidnapped urwins wife and mutated her Escher had piddlewick 2 with him Ana has strands animated armor And volenta… well I need to figure something out for her.
Once they have accomplished their mini tasks, they will find strahd in the tower per the tarroka reading. And fight him. This is the fight with the heart.
Once they destroy the heart. Strahd and his possy will shift into their bat/human forms.
I’m interested in any other ideas or fun things to include or ways to make it cinematic.
Falling through floors etc.

This year my dad got stuck making the turkey (and somehow hosting everyone over here) amongst everyone else capable to do so in our family. It was pretty inconsiderate because dad is in the active phase of his chemo cycle where he’s taking both his meds everyday and it’s always a more difficult time of the month for him. Naturally it was time to get in there and give him a hand prepping the food and for the family to come. Dad was so cute, he was proud of the 29 POUND bird he got for everyone and as I was in the kitchen helping him prep I realized I needed to take this moment and really soak it in… making that turkey with my dad is something I’ll always remember. I got really sad thinking that this could be dad’s last thanksgiving. Hopefully it’s not, hopefully we have many, many years to come… but the doctors haven’t been very optimistic so far. All I could think about is how much I want dad to be around next year, to see my son born in April, to celebrate all the holidays and birthdays and get togethers. I’m 30 and dad is 69 with some previous conditions and 2 types of myelomonocytic leukemia. Dad is prelim approved for stem cell transplant this January which doctors haven’t been telling us will either be his saving grace or his downfall. We’ve been told this is a “young man’s procedure” with a ton of potential for complications (think of the aftercare to be as crucial and intense as if you were getting a new kidney or liver..) and tried to talk out of getting it. But dad is adamant. He said the chemo rounds are exhausting and not the quality of life he wishes to live… he wants to at least give stem cell a chance. I support him 100%.. but I’m so nervous. I just want him to have the longest most comfortable and healthiest chance at enjoying the rest of his life. I lost my mom unexpectedly in Jan 2021 and I am not sure what’s worse… knowing things can take a turn for the worse quickly and watching dad go through the struggle for months… or hugging my mom as I walked out the door and finding her 3 hours later on her bed passed away. She was only 63. The last few years have given me a whole new appreciation for family and my dad’s diagnosis this past May has been really hard to accept. Luckily he’s going to Duke Medical Center in Durham NC. He’s getting top of the line treatment from nationally renowned doctors. He couldn’t be in better hands. Aside from that, God’s got him. He’s truly in the best hands there. Sorry this became a really disorganized and long over sharing of my feelings but as I sit up in my dad’s house at 5 AM and everyone else is sleeping still, my dad my husband our dogs, I can’t help but think back on the fun my dad and I had yesterday. Trying to permanently seal that time into my memories so it’s something I’ll never forget. For one, I’ve never ever made a turkey before. I can cook but I’m the baby of the family and not usually tasked with the main course of the meal. For two, dad was so cute and helpful. I told him I could handle it all but not the cleaning out of the turkey before we prepped it. He got out of bed at 7 am (this man sleeps til at least 10 usually) to help me. Then lastly, that was THE BEST TASTING turkey I’ve ever tried. It was made with so much careful preparation and love (and some good homemade herb butter) and dad and I got so many complements from everyone else. I hope next year dad’s feeling so much better since it’ll almost be a year post transplant and we are sitting around reminiscing on what a chaotic, but fun, thanksgiving this past year was. Thanks for letting me share my feelings and thoughts with you all. ❤️

 | He’s not perfect, but it’s a great choice if you lack the coins and you’re only dependent on pack luck. I have had him for about two weeks now, and he’s been great! Way better than my 101 ST cr7 and 102 st Kva, 101 Kane and Lukaku (I know the last two are outdated but they are in higher ranks) With the form that he is at now, he’ll be back in TOTW no doubt!
