i’m the oldest daughter (i only have 1 younger brother) and i’m sick and tired of my family making me take care of everything for them. i currently live at home, but will be moving out next month (out of state thankfully, so they won’t be able to visit and bother me often).
today was especially triggering for me. my brother is a senior in high school and is looking to apply to colleges (the deadline is already in a few days), so my parents have been nagging me every day to help him finish his apps, but every time i sit down and try to help him, he says he doesn’t want to - yet my parents are making this MY problem. when this happened again today, i literally had to remove myself from the situation and walk away because i was just so done.
also, my parents have a pretty rocky relationship and have been putting me in the middle of their marriage - they hardly speak to each other anymore and will “pass on” messages for me to tell the other person, ex: my mom saying “can you remind your dad to do this?” however, anytime i try to remind my dad that something needs to get done, he constantly pushes it off.
i’ve been really stressed out because i feel the looming weight of my brother’s upcoming college app deadlines + the stress about the other things my dad needs to do that he refuses to do (ex: filling out paperwork for my parents’ insurance, stuff like that.) for my mental health, i know i need to set that boundary and refuse to help when my parents ask me to anymore, but since i’m the oldest daughter and am so used to functioning this way & taking care of everything, i still feel that stress lingering in the back of my mind. i know the only way to no longer be stressed about these things is to distance myself from my family and go low contact.
i’d love to hear any reassurance or advice from people going through similar situations, or words of encouragement from those who are now on the other side of things.

I did horribly in my first A-levels: B in Economics, B in Maths, and D in Further Maths. I'm now retaking them, with predicted grades of A*A*A, and doing exceptionally well at a new school. I plan to explain my mitigating circumstances in my application.
I'm applying for LSE Actuarial Science, a less competitive course, and have a strong personal statement tailored to LSE.
I am worried whether LSE will focus on my previous A-level results since I'm retaking them. Should I apply, or is it unlikely they'll accept me because of my past grades? Any tips for retake applicants to LSE?

Today we had to deal with a REAL tough customer (technically he "works" here but I have a double chin). He was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, VERY RUDE and he is overall uncomfortable to be around. The reason why I call him the "ball man" is because he is so fat and his posture is so bad, that he is shaped almost like a ball.
After enduring weeks of him being a shitty excuse of a homosapien showing ACTUAL PORN TO OUR FEMALE CO-WORKERS, this was the final nail in the coffin.
He first goes on this HUGE rant on how "society treats paedophiles poorly" even though people are trying to make him stop because THIS IS A FUCKING WORKPLACE. Lunch break comes around and he starts playing fucking fruit ninja and CRASHES OUT OVER IT.
He started swearing and screaming and REFUSES TO DO ANY FUCKING WORK ALL FROM FUCKING FRUIT NINJA ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!
was I too harsh on this story?

Felt good for the first day or two but now I can’t do anything. Feel like other characters have smaller whiff windows and are able to recover faster. I think I’m just playing wrong and have to adjust my style but hit boxes seem way worse than beta. I was a top 100 WW and now I can barely win a set, it’s very frustrating lmao. Could just be me being very bad. Also keep teching by accident. Don’t how to do that. Basically the only new thing I can do is parry.

Is it just me or do the last few releases of ABR sound a bit generic.
Yes you still have the thumping drums but the mixing of the songs is really odd. I started noticing this on the Guardians album(few songs) and it's gotten even worse with Death Below.
For comparison, I thought Phantom Anthem and FIFAP presented a smorgasbord of tunes.
Is it just me?
