Hi all! Just wanting to get everyone’s opinions. I (19F) am seeing a rheumatologist right now. She says I probably have fibromyalgia which I agree with but I told her I don’t have arm pain and she made it sound like to have fibromyalgia I HAVE to have pain EVERYWHERE. My elbows and upper arms almost never hurt. She made me feel just kinda confused and invalidated and idk if I’m overreacting or not?

I’m a final-year student trying to break into QT/QML/C++ development, but finding internships in this niche has been a real challenge. Most of the opportunities I’ve come across are for experienced developers, and it’s been tough finding roles for beginners. I’ve been applying on LinkedIn and other platforms, but there’s not much out there for this specific tech stack.
Two months ago in september, I applied for an internship with a small company in Bangalore. I didn’t hear back for over a month and assumed it wasn’t happening, but last week, their HR reached out. After a quick introductory call and a telephonic interview, they asked me to complete a task over the weekend—developing a simple QT desktop application. I submitted it on time and was invited for a final interview, which I gave yesterday.
The interview went really well I was confident with all my answers, and by the evening, they called to tell me I was selected! They even offered to help me find accommodation in Bangalore. I was so excited and relieved.
But then, out of nowhere, I got a call today saying they won’t proceed with my onboarding because I’m still in college. This was super frustrating because it was clearly mentioned in my resume and discussed in the initial HR call. If being in college was an issue, why put me through all the rounds and waste my time?
I’m back to square one now, feeling stuck. For those of you working in QT/QML/C++:
How did you get started in this field?
Any tips or resources for finding internships in this domain?
I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Title, you got a phone call from a recruiter who got your profile from any job boards and ask you for all the details and then, they say, "We will forward your profile to the hiring manager and once shortlisted, we will get back to you", I mean, if not shortlisted, why would you call me and ask for my details when all of that I believe should be on my profile, which can be extracted by the recruiter, why would you call up and say all this just to ignore the candidates call? Vi er forældre til en dreng, der snart skal starte i skole. Vi står i et dilemma hvad angår valg af skole.
Vi bor tæt på Gl. Hasseris skole, hvilket vi tænker bliver en fordel i forhold til at han selv kan transportere sig frem og tilbage når alderen tillader det. Ligeledes forestiller vi os, at hans kommende omgangskreds vil bo i nærheden, hvilket vil gøre det nemt at tage med venner hjem eller bringe dem herhjem. Der vil ligeledes være venner fra hans fritidsaktivitet, som han også dyrker i nærområdet. Hans venner fra vejen skal ligeledes gå på Gl. Hasseris.
Vi kan dog være bekymret for, fra hvad vi nu har hørt fra forskellige, at der på skolen er så mange elever i hver klasse, at det er svært at skabe et sundt læringsmiljø. At det afhænger meget af om man får den rigtige underviser, om det bliver en “god klasse”.
Vennerne fra børnehaven skal på Klostermarksskolen, men det ligger en lille køretur væk, og udover det gør det en anelse mere besværligt for os som forældre, så vil det være en lang tur for ham at cykle selv når tiden er, eller vi skal køre ham i skole hele hans skoletid, og alt det med legeaftalerne forestiller vi os kræver mere logistik. Vi kan også være bekymret for, om de nuværende relationer fra nærområdet stille og roligt opløses fordi man går i forskellige skoler. Vi er egentlig ret trygge ved Klostermarksskolen og har en opfattelse af, at der er et højt niveau og “styr på klassen”.
Men vi ved simpelthen ikke hvilket valg vi skal træffe! Nogen der har nogle erfaringer, eller andet vi kan bruge til noget?
