first of all i need to say that i do not know where this problem is coming from. i have been experiencing this for at least 2 years and have tried to seek professional psychiatric help on numerous occasions, to no solutions and avail. all the replies i gotten are that this is not a psychiatric symptoms from professional perspective. yet it does not undermine the fact that i am still feeling such numbness. hence i am bringing this topic up from a religious pov in an attempt to seek answers and help.
2 years ago, during my time in military conscription, there was once i woke up on a morning and started to feel numbness in my heart. the feeling is so prominent that i can barely feel any emotions nowadays. these includes feelings such as embarrassment, sarcasm, weirdness and awkwardness. in general speaking, whenever i do anything that pertains to those feelings, i cannot feel any feelings in my heart. conversely, when i do happy things such as going on holiday trips that is supposedly meant to contribute to positive emotions, i cannot feel any positive feeling in my heart. i also have problems using my mind to think of things and remembering things. at some point in time i did suspect that i was under the control of some unknown external evil spirits or forces. yet i cannot ascertain the exact facts. now even my doctors and psychiatrists are giving up on me and i do not know where to go from here. can anyone gives me any directions on what are the things that i am potentially going thru that i myself don’t even know? is it possible that i am really under some malicious control by some evil spirits?? idk…..

Just putting this one out there to see what other users would do here. Customer makes contact to chase up their order, Royal Mail portal states delivered with a picture and full tracking journey. Customer is adamant the parcel did not turn up, says they were out at the time, so missed the actual delivery, RM leaves in a safe place and the customer does confirm the picture is taken on their property. I politely tell the customer to contact Royal Mail with the details in the portal and more than happy my end to provide any sort of reference if necessary. Customer states he contacted Royal Mail who have pushed it back on to me the retailer and now customer wants a full refund, stating terrible service, despite, all the bells and whistles of order confirmation, fulfilment and tracking details etc… I’m gutted for the customer if the parcel has gone missing but also what else can I actually do?

Hi,
I am looking to replace my 2007 car with a much newer secondhand, and am considering the options of how to pay for it.
I earn 32k per year but am super frugal with TOTAL MONTHLY (regular) EXPENDITURE of no more than £400. Since I paid off the mortgage (from my own earnings 7 years early) in April 2023 I have saved approx £30k. I am really enjoying the tariff income (interest) that I gain from this (I use a regular savings account and an ISA).
The options are PCP, paying for the car outright or acquiring a loan from the bank.
Discounting the interest, am I correct to think it would be better for me to take a personal loan rather than PCP or paying outright?
It seems that PCP is complicated with a final balloon payment and a mileage restriction (and probable insurance complications) and my not having outright ownership of the car until the finance is fully repaid.
Paying for the car outright means I lose most of my present savings and the tariff income, but a personal loan would enable me to keep my capital, keep the tariff income and own the car from the off and the tariff income I continue to gain would help offset the interest charged on the loan especially as I will continue to save.
Unfortunately my job is safe and I have a blemish free credit record.
I eally don't want to borrow again but a personal loan seems the most sensible option......but am I missing anything ?

Hi all! So a while back, I bought these lovely handcrafted earrings from an artist in Georgia (the country).
I was originally residing in Cape Town, and once I got the earrings from the post office, I only needed to pay an additional ~R200 for the costs.
My boyfriend (from the US) wanted to gift me another pair of earrings of similar value from the same artist to Joburg (where I am living now). However, this time the additional cost is ~R800...
So do you guys know how customs actually work? Why is it that for essentially the same set of earrings, have such drastically different customs costs?

Didn't manage any pics sorry, but today we had the mass "mobbing" behaviour of the channel bill cuckoos from all the target birds. For anyone who doesn't know, the cuckoos incite that on purpose & then while the other birds are chasing them, the female uses that time to lay her egg in their nest.
Well today it didn't work in my area (I assume), even reached the point of 3 channel bill cuckoos flying laps & making a tonne of noise & numerous magpies, currawongs & noisy miners chasing them, but at least one magpie sat it out & sat in the tree her nest was in guarding it. Smart bird!
I know they've studied it & found the magpies aren't actually being tricked into raising the cuckoo baby, but are actually being extorted, that if they refuse & destroy the egg, the cuckoos return to the nest all summer & destroy the magpies eggs, but if they raise the cuckoo chick, then the cuckoos allow them to have their own baby later in the year. I hope this latest magpie strategy of wising up to the mobbing & guarding the nest instead of participating works, I figure they deserve it if they can use smarts like that :)
