Not necessarily read faster, but more so how can I read more without losing comprehension?
For context, I finished 10 books and in the same time frame I added 106 books to my to-read list. That's fucked up.
My schedule right now is to read one book, finish, then read the next book but I realized at school we tackle multiple different topics and we still somewhat retain some information of all of them.
How can I tackle books like that?

2024.11.29 12:49 one-life- Is It Fair to Leave Everything to Your Kids if They’re Already Doing Well?
I’ve been thinking a lot about inheritance lately. Most people expect to inherit everything from their parents, but I’m starting to wonder if that’s always the best move, especially if the kids are already financially secure.
If parents have already helped their kids with education, business ventures, or career support, do they really need to leave them the entire estate??
Personally, I think it might make more sense for parents to give their kids a smaller portion.. maybe 15-20% and donate the rest to charity or meaningful causes.
This way, the kids still get something, but the majority goes to help others. It also prevents kids from becoming dependent on the inheritance and teaches the value of being independent and giving back ig?
What do you think? Should parents leave a smaller inheritance if their kids are already well off, and donate the rest to charity? Share your perspective please!

Fala gente, só um desabafo aqui sobre amopaixão, se é que tem uma diferença entre os dois. Será que tem mesmo? Ou é só o valor emocional que as pessoas dão? As pessoas pensam que a diferença é que o amor é sólido, enquanto a paixão é temporária, mas talvez não seja nada disso. A diferença é que no "amor" as duas pessoas apenas chegaram num consenso para se darem bem, enquanto a paixão foi fugaz.
Bom, eu me apaixonei esse ano por uma garota, e foi algo que me mudou completamente. Eu era o tipo de cara extremamente safado, que sexualizava qualquer mulher, consumia p***, frequentava puteiros, trocava nudes por chats anônimos, usava o tinder, etc. Resumindo, era um safado.
A experiência de me apaixonar por uma garota, ter encontros com ela, imaginar uma vida juntos, fazer de tudo para agradar ela, me mudou completamente. Sinto asco de mim mesmo quando me imagino fazendo safadezas com outras mulheres que não ela. E eu, que nunca tinha acreditado no amor antes.
Pra piorar, no fim eu percebi que talvez ela só quisesse me usar pra curtir também e provavelmente tinham outros caras. A vida é engraçada.
Percebi que o amor que eu tive por ela na verdade foi projeção e fantasia. Será que todos são assim? A diferença é que nos outros que deram certo, as duas pessoas conseguiram se manter?
Até quando eu tentava consumir p****** me sentia triste pois lembrava dela e começava a chorar.
Qual o sentido da vida? Poligamia? Monogamia? Realmente não sei.
Mas eu fiquei feliz de ver que mudei depois dessa experiência e foi para melhor.
