2024.11.29 12:49 AnimationFan_2003 What are you guys' favourite headcanons about the Bluey-verse? Here's a few of my own.
I'm back with, not a Bluey theory, but a wholesome discussion about you guys' Bluey headcanons. I have quite a few headcanons myself, because Bluey is just chalk full of characters young and old. I will share some of my favourites with all of you guys.
I might make a new one in the future if you guys want and if this actually does well and doesn't get any hate.
A few of my Bluey-verse headcanons.
- First of all, I personally believe that Bingo actually has some asthma-related illnesses and, in "Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound", she was in hospital because of her asthma. The reason I say this is because Joe Brumm takes a lot of experiences with his two daughters into this show and his youngest daughter used to spend a lot of nights in hospital because of asthma ("Her lungs would shut down when it got too cold," said Brumm in an interview). I like the idea of Bingo being a child with asthma. That does also line up with the doctor listening to Bingo's lungs on her back.
- Speaking of "Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound", I like to imagine the doctor who is treating Bingo at the beginning is actually the Terriers' maternal grandmother. I have no other reason for this, other than I think it's a nice headcanon, and I like to imagine the Terrier's grandma's is probably in her late 50's/early 60's and she's been a paediatrician for the last 40+ years of her life. I just think that would be interesting. I know that they're not the only Schnauzers in the Bluey-verse, but, I like this as an idea.
- Lucky and Bluey are not actually close friends with each other. I believe that Lucky is actually older than Bluey, the median age of Bluey's friends and Captain and Mia. The reason for this is just because I think Lucky seems a little bit older (up to 3 years older than Bluey). I think he seems about 9 when Bluey is 6, and he turns 10 later. Bluey gets along with his younger brother, Chucky, whom is closer in age to her and Bingo. But, also, because Lucky is super neck-deep in sports, like Aussie Rules, Cricket, Rugby, Touch Footy and Bluey doesn't appear to be that interested in sports. She likes him just fine, because she's a nice and friendly kid, but, she tends to hang out with him more because they're neighbours, imo.
- Bandit and Pat are super best friends with each other and met in high school together. I think it would be really cool if they've been best mates since they were Year 7 together. I also think they bonded over their shared love of Australian sports teams and joined the Football team and Rugby team together. I also think Bandit became friends with Janelle in high school, but, he obviously didn't jive with her because Pat is obviously the one who was in love with her. But, I believe Bandit's circle of friends in high school were made up of Pat, Rocco (his friend from "Kids"), Mackenzie's Dad, Winton's Dad and Rusty's Dad.
- The Heeler brothers all love different sci-fi/thrilleaction movies. Bandit loved Indiana Jones as a kid, especially Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. TLC was his favourite movie, followed by Raiders of the Lost Ark (see "Yoga Ball"). I believe Bluey and Bingo watched bits and pieces of it, but nothing more. Stripe is a huge fan of all things Star Wars and D.C. related, and Rad is into anything related to James Bond or The Matrix. Bandit became inspired to be an archaeologist through Indiana Jones, the other two just have those vibes about them, in my opinion.
- Mackenzie speaks with a thick kiwi accent because he's around his parents a lot and he's from New Zealand himself. I personally believe the flashback scene shown in "Space" with a younger Mackenzie was shortly after he moved to Australia. In my opinion, Mackenzie celebrates his birthday by the time of "Cricket", and he moved from New Zealand almost 3 years before "Space", when he was 3/4 years old. I feel like he looked a little younger than Bingo at the time. As he went through high school, he started to lose the kiwi accent, imo.
- Judo is a child of divorce and I believe she's co-parent by Wendy and also her dad ("Sticky Gecko" hints at Judo being at her dad's house for some time). I believe she and Bluey go to different schools. Bluey goes to the Glasshouse Primary School and Judo goes to school that's a short distance from her dad's house, but also Wendy's house. She sometimes goes to her dad's after school and on Friday's and Saturday's, but, she spends most of her time at Wendy's house.
- I also think Wendy and her ex-husband got divorced/filed for divorced during Season 1 and Wendy and Judo were still adjusting to new arrangements. I believe Wendy is offended by Bandit's presence in Season 1 because it hits a bit too close to home for her, and makes her long for when she had a husband. However, by Season 3, she has adjusted to life as a single mum and she gets along with Bandit. Judo also has always liked Bingo, in my opinion (as evidenced by Bingo being surprised by her rudeness at the beginning of "Butterflies"). I think her sudden resentment towards Bingo is because she's upset that her dad is starting a new life without her and Wendy and she longs for when they were together. In my opinion, Judo doesn't give off "only child" vibes as much "child who has another family".
- Now, if you guys don't like this headcanon, be nice please, because this is my headcanon. But, Casper is Judo's younger stepbrother in my opinion, and "Butterflies" is her getting over her parents' recent divorced and her dad starting a new life, aka his new partner, a new child, not being with Wendy anymore, Judo living in two different households, etc. I believe Casper is (unknowingly) part of the reason she resents Bingo so much. She didn't seem to have a problem with her before or even after after "Butterflies". I like to think "Butterflies" was her not wanting Bingo around because she reminds her of the fact that she has a new little brother who takes up much of her dad's attention. So, she longs for the way things used to be. I also think she was pretending to be her dad's new partner on the phone.
- Bandit and his brothers and friends used to have a band while they were in their late teens/early 20's. At first, I believe they started this band just for funsies, because Bandit is shown to love dancing and he does play a mean drum set in a few episodes. They wanted to do music for a while. I like to think their band was called "Custard" (a reference to David McCormack's real life band) and Bandit was the lead singer and drummer. I also think they got a few gigs, including at a party in London, and that's how Bandit met Chilli. Chilli was interested in him and, after the music stopped they went to speak to each other and there was instant chemistry between them. The band did a few more gigs together, but, inevitably broke up because they all wanted to have other jobs after a while, and Bandit wanted to spend time with Chilli.
- I like to think Socks acts like a feral dog in Season 1 and some of Season 2 is because, just like in real life, many children and babies just develop differently and at different times. As Chilli said to Bluey and Bingo in "Baby Race", "....I just decided to run my own race." I believe Socks is just her own race and that she hadn't developed been able to walk, talk, climb furniture or even pull herself up, at the same rate as the other kids, so she just acts like a "real dog". In my opinion, I don't think she's representing children who have Autism and/or are neurodivergent, like some people have suggested. I think it's purely she's just running her own race and just started to walk and talk at a later stage.
- Also, speaking of Socks, in "Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound", I believe they have "leads" in the Bluey-verse, not to act as dog leads since these are humanoid dogs. The joke is obviously dogs on leads, but, in the episode, I think Stripe and Trixie just had a "toddler lead" for Socks to keep her contained whenever she got too wild. I do think that is reason she had a lead on in the context of the episode.

 | Trying to calculate how many medals i will fail this event. And looking through old posts. Months ago, someone posted “all missions completed” and the total was 855. But i think we’ve gotten at least one more. So is the end point out of 900 medals? As it stands, I’m looking at failing 135 for sure. I am on T12, so no ultimate crit. Unfortunately i don’t have nuke in my card stack (yet 🤞🏻) and the modules isn’t likely to happen for me. Gonna sit on repeat to get the DD mission though. Hi everyone, I’m new here! I’ve been lurking and reading through various threads, and I’m excited to join the conversation.
By way of introduction, I’m an attorney, engineer, and decent writer. I wrote a weekly newspaper column for nearly three years, producing 600-1400 words each week, and I loved it. Over the past 20 years (I’m 57), I’ve started multiple books—I like to say I’m ten pages into ten different ones!
One project I’m working on now started as a screenplay and outline that I drafted about ten years ago (after a few drinks if I’m being honest). When I revisited it a few weeks ago, I realized it had real potential, so I decided to work on it seriously.
I have outlined a solid three-act structure with about 10-12 chapters per act. I’ve finished about 20 chapters, each 900-1100 words long, and I’m aiming for 30 chapters total. Once I reach the end, I plan to expand each chapter.
I have a few questions:
- Chapter Length: I’ve read that the average chapter length is around 2,500 words. I struggle with adding details—is this where the word count comes from? Or is it more about expanding the action? (I always joked that Tom Clancy could write five pages describing a car and a duffel bag.)
- Chapter Files: Each chapter is currently in a separate Word document. Is this the best approach for now, or should I combine them into one file sooner rather than later?
- Editing/Proofreading: Do most writers here edit their work, or do you recommend finding outside help?
- Publishing: I’ve used Amazon self-publishing before—any thoughts on this versus other options?
- Formatting: What's the standard format when combining everything into a single document? Should I include page numbers, specific chapter styles, or anything else to watch for?

I got a new cushion for my airfit N20 mask after 3 months of use with my old one and went from zero registered leaks on my machine for months to now registering 2-5 l/min on my machine the first two nights with new cushion. I didn’t change anything on my headgear. I’m wondering if because it’s more firm than my old used one if I need to loosen headgear more? Anyone else with a N20 or F20 airfit ever experience this? I feel like it’s already pretty loose but maybe I need to get crazy with the “looseness” 😅 Thanks
I do have oscar but don’t have access to it this weekend so just going purely off machine data.
