I hope this message finds you well.
After experiencing a significant issue with bot accounts spamming our messages, I recently decided to switch our campaign from Advantage+ back to the Original setup. Since making this change, I have observed a noticeable improvement in the situation—bot activity has decreased to about 10-20%. While not ideal, this level of bot interference is manageable compared to the previous overwhelming volume.
However, I believe there is a critical need for Meta to address the proliferation of fake accounts. These accounts not only click on ads multiple times, inflating costs without meaningful engagement, but they also exploit mechanisms like Advantage+ to amplify their activity. From my perspective, Advantage+ seems to unintentionally create an environment where bots can "find each other" more efficiently, resulting in higher costs for businesses and reduced campaign effectiveness.
While Advantage+ may have its benefits in theory, I strongly encourage Meta to prioritize addressing the underlying issue of fake accounts. Until this problem is resolved, Advantage+ may inadvertently lead to losses for businesses rather than helping them achieve their goals.
I hope you’ll consider this feedback and continue improving the platform to better support advertisers like us. I would be happy to provide more details about our experience if that would be helpful.
