When I checked my CAT script, he gave very unfair distribution in marks.

To whom it may concern,
I am a 28 year old student currently working at Canada Post as a temp letter carrier. This means I am on an on call position, each week not knowing what my schedule could be, no access to benefits or starting on my pension plan. I have been working for Canada post for a little over a year now.
When I first started working here I truly thought this was the best job I've had to date. We would get paid breaks( two 15mins and one 30 mins break for an 8 hour shift). We were allowed to work overtime and would always get paid overtime wages as well. You also get to use a work van and can listen to your own music. Once you make it up the list to a permanent full-time or permanent part time position you get access to amazing benefits, maternity leave, vacation days, sick days, raises every certain amount of hours you work etc. I thought wow how amazing! What a good company this is to work for and what a career you can make out of this!
After working there for a while I slowly started realizing it wasn't the company that made this job amazing, it was the union and what the workers fought hard for us to enjoy and to be able to make a career out of it. I truly did not realize the impact that the Canadian union of postal workers had on the overall work culture of Canada as a country. The reason that Canadians get to enjoy maternity leave is because of this very union and the members that fought hard for us to receive it.
Our contract expires every four years and everytime it expires the corporation always tries to take away everything that makes this job a good career and the things these workers have fought hard to earn, which is why you see a strike happen often. It's not about the raise.
The corporations in Canada are getting more and more greedy and reap the benefits off of the working class. Our economy is getting worse and people are feeling the stresses of it. The working class are struggling even more than the day before as we continue on. The minimum wages arent matching the rate of inflation and many canadians are feeling this. This is a time when the working class needs to come together to fight greedy corporations benefitting on the backs of us and our hard work.
My Canada post depot is the first of many to come, to undergo a restructure that happened in March. They made less routes that are longer and we almost always have to work overtime every single day to complete a route. So because they made less routes, that means there are now less permanent full/part time positions. However in saying this, there is not less work. They hired more temporary workers like myself that get paid less, no access to benefits or a pension plan and no guaranteed amount of hours or even job security. This means Canada post gets to pay the employees less per hour, they pay less into benefits plans, less into pension plans and less in vacation/sick days. They want to create new pension plans for employees like myself creating a two tier pension plan as well as a two tier pay scale for doing the same job, which in turn divides the employees against each other. They also want to create part time jobs on the weekends having temporary people like myself come in for only one 8 hour shift on the weekend, making us not able to access benefits, pension plan, vacation days, or even EI. This corporation is trying to take on work tactics like Amazon and no longer make this a place where Canadians can have a life long career.
The Canadian union of postal workers are trying to fight this to keep what they have fought so hard for and to keep it a place where we can have life long careers. This will not only be an amazing win for postal workers, but for the working class as a whole. If other unions and workers see that we can fight corporation greed and win, it paves the way for other workers.

Hey, everyone.
I’m dealing with a lot of regret and shame from things that happened when I was drinking heavily, starting back in 2016. Drinking brought out the worst in me—I’d get rowdy, talk slick, and end up in confrontations. Over time, it led to fights, embarrassments, and even getting knocked out once. What hurts the most is feeling like I didn’t stand up for myself that first time, which only made things worse.
Now, I’ve stopped drinking, but the damage feels done. I live in Brooklyn, and it seems like people still see me as the guy who got embarrassed so many times. Some have even called me a punk or a drunk. Even some of my male friends seem to shun me now, like they’ve decided I’m not worth hanging out with anymore. It’s hard because once you’ve been in those situations, it feels like respect is gone for good, no matter what you do to change.
How do you rebuild yourself after something like this? How do you move forward in a community where it feels like your reputation is set in stone? I’d really appreciate any advice or insight.
