Hello everyone,
I'm a foreigner going to Armenia next February.
With an Armenian friend (whom I'm joining on the spot), we were in the process of organizing the trip, then I suggested renting a car and doing a little roadtrip in the country (I really like the idea of going to villages and meeting people who are really rooted in the country).
She strongly advised against it, telling me that outside Yerevan the roads were really dangerous. I'm not a professional driver, but I can still drive well.
So, I have two questions:
Is it really dangerous to take the car to go deeper into the country in terms of roads?
If so, is there any alternative transport to get around the country?
