With the upcoming new book in the New year. Got me thinking we'd potentially get a series rather than a film, not necessarily this book but there is so much to choose from with the 75 years of the games itself. It could be a chance for a format that could show even more detail form original source.
What parts would you like to see as a potential series or even film? For me I'd like to see some of the struggles in the districts during the rebellion, or possibly, the underground rebellion in the capital. A district 13 series building up to the bomb strike and rebuilding could be a good take too.
Also how would people feel about a series over a movie? I don't really want a remake, I tbh the film trilogy did so well for a book adaptation.

2024.11.29 13:41 0bserver24-7 Transformers One didn’t fail because of bad marketing, it just wasn’t that good.
Like most people, I also gave it a pass because it looked like a direct-to-streaming kids movie. Since the last few live-action movies under-performed, making a cartoon seemed like a desperate last-ditch effort, so signs weren't looking good.
Then the few people that watched it said "No, it's actually great! Best Transformers movie since the 80s one! Megatron is my favorite character now!" Stuff like that. So, I gave it a try, keeping my expectations reasonable, and... it was ok. Not great, not bad, just ok.
Sure, I was mildly impressed with Optimus' and Megatron's character development. In one movie they went from post-Engame MCU-tier characters to the classic larger-than-life characters from previous iterations. Their transformations (no pun intended) were decently written, and I agree that Megatron stole the movie. But that's it. The rest of the characters were so-so, with Bumblebee being especially annoying, which is a shame because he's one of my favorite transformers. Also, I couldn't take Sentinel Prime seriously as a villain, he had no commanding presence at all. "But that's the point!" Ok? That doesn't make it better.
So in the end, I wasn't surprised that it flopped, it really was just a kids' movie after all. Then again, so are the Despicable Me movies, and somehow those are making billions. Maybe people in general just don't care about Transformers anymore, in which case that's a realty we'll have to accept.

2024.11.29 13:41 evaskem How can I help my cat deal with her fear of walking?
We started observing that our 13-year-old cat (f, maine coon), misses when jumping on surfaces, thus a week ago she was diagnosed with spondylosis. She turned out to have a very minor portion of her spine compromised by the condition; her legs are totally normal. She can walk. She was prescribed therapy, which we have been doing well, but the issue is that our already anxious cat has developed fear to walk.
She lowers herself once on the floor and either hurries to hide or stays still. We have to bring her to the food bowl and litter box. She has appetite, lets herself be touched, purrs, but without our actions she rejects to leap to the floor.
Our veterinarian advised she will get used to it and there is nothing to be done; perhaps you could offer some alternative advise?

I've noticed that in some parts of my WIP (high fantasy in a fictional world modeled on medieval Europe), I have used words that are too modern for my genre. For example, what can I use in place of the bolded words below?
- The Prince greeted the guards: "Hi, guys." (The Prince has a laid-back personality, which is why he talks informally to the guards. Is people or fellows a good replacement for guys? Any other ideas?)
- (One servant says to another.) "Want us to hang out later?" (Any good, less modern, replacement for hang out?)

But now my apple music is turning off automatically, also while using WhatsApp calls, as soon as I exit the call the microphone is turning off automatically. Kindly suggest ways to solve this. I've been binging all of the horror franchises I couldn't possibly watch in the 80's when I was a child (I'm telling my age I know lol)
I've binged out Halloween, Friday the 13th, Texas chainsaw massacre and Nightmare on Elm Street
What others from that era am I missing...that are "classic/above average?
Also...as an aside...what do y'all consider the best of the bunch overall?
For me...I'm definitely liking Nightmare on Elm Street the most!... perfect mix of horror, comedic flourishes, memorable villain and (to me) surprisingly higher production values than the rest

I think the question itself makes it evident that I am a beginner, I just started on the sims and the reality of how hard controlling a drone could be hit me hard!
Particularly with the throttle, being right dominant I have been struggling to keep fine tuning the throttle on the left side,
However I have already spent like a few hours learning with the throttle on the left,
Then I thought about using Mode 1 to see if I can do it better, I was equally bad.
Before I learn one of the above two modes, I wanted to know if there are any pros and cons.
I am planning to fly 5in racing FPV.
