My reason for this is no one says that calling a friend "mate" or "dude" is annoying or wrong english. In your example. This is the first time I ate sushi. (This was the first time I had sushi). the past is used since it is something you have already done, even if only a few moments ago.

When my brother was little, he had issues with bowel incontinence (he ended up being diagnosed with colon cancer at age 27). Our father would absolutely humiliate him for it. It went on for years and when he was around 10, our father would frequently go in while my brother was taking a shower and make him show our father his anus to ensure he had cleaned up. He also on a few occasions made him show us (me, my mother, and father) his anus, spread cheeks, to ensure he had wiped, all around the age of 10. He made my brother bathe with a hose in our backyard in broad daylight one time to further humiliate him. I know it was humiliating to him and caused him issues later on in life with self-esteem and he found indecent exposure funny for a period. Does this forced exposure and humiliation constitue sexual abuse? Would this account for issues in teenage years with self esteem and finding exposure funny?

So i like to give myself a little restriction when i build decks. I'm building decks with final fantasy games that i've played. I did one for FF VII, FF X and FF XIV. So now im looking into FF IX. A friend showed me a replay, in Master Duel, of someone playing Flower Cardian against them, mostly because we thought I was the last Cardian main on existence.
The replay was normal until they summoned their third «Flower Cardian Peony with Butterfly» which successfully drew a "Flower Cardian" monster, but then my friend didn't get to see the cards being arranged in order.
That effect of the card reads:
[If this card is Special Summoned: Draw 1 card, and if you do, show it, then, if it is a "Flower Cardian" monster, look at the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck, then place them all on the top or bottom of the Deck in any order]
So shouldn't the opponent player be able to see those 3 cards? Whenever I play IRL I always show them, so I don't know if it is just a bug in Master Duel or if somehow you don't have to give that information

2024.11.29 13:40 glorious_sunshine Fixing freestanding cabinets onto dot and dab plasterboard wall with L brackets
After knocking on the wall until my knuckles bruised and my Bosch stud finder cried for a battery charge, I can say with 80% confidence there are no studs in that wall. The solid sounding bits of the wall don't go straight up or down, they are in patches and are roughly A4 sized.
I need to fix some tall shelves/cabinets with L brackets on to the wall. They are freestanding and don't need the wall to hold their weight, but I have cats and don't want them to bring the place down when they launch themselves off of the shelves.
I test drilled a hole and hit what I think is brick at 3cm in (from the surface of the wall). I'd like to avoid drilling into brick but will do so if I have to.
From my preliminary google search, it looks like there are quite a few choices for dot and dab wall fixings. Rawlplug DRA02 or their Tap It fixings or the Bullfix Plasterboard fixings could probably work?
Any advice/recommendations?

I am a citcitizen of wales, and as the title states, this morning my boss had a short word with me, informing me that I was being fired for gross misconduct, and also gave me a letter detailing the reasons, which reasons as follows:
Following the meeting held on 29th November 2024, we regret to inform you that your employment with (the company which fired me) is being terminated due to gross misconduct, The reasons for your dismissal are as follows:
Damage to Reputation and Business Relationship: Your actions have negatively impacted the reputation of (the company which fired me) at the customer site, as well as jeopardized our future prospects of providing services to them.
Insubordination: A complaint has been raised regarding your insubordination towards a senior manager at (a site I was sent to work at)
Damage to Company Property: (the company which fired me) has been charged for damage caused by your careless use of a welding head and a brand-new drill While the drill was still under warranty, the warranty will not cover the damage due to user error. The cost of this will be deducted from your final wage slip.
As a result of these issues, we have made the decision to terminate your employment with the Company, effective from 29th November 2024 You have the right to appeal this decision. If you wish to exercise this right, please submit your appeal in writing to blank within 7 days of receiving this letter We regret that it has come to this decision but trust you will understand the necessity of protecting the interests and reputation of the Company.
I am a welder fabricator and honestly and polite, the "insubordination" was a slightly sarcastic comment telling the Engineering maintenance manager that what he was asking couldn't be done. ("Won't be able to shift that unless you're he man")
The damage to Company Property was not to a new drill, the drill Was in fact well used and I used it in the proper manner - it was simply a case of wear and tear.
I can only assume the damage to Reputation is a result of both of these.
I had been employed by this company for around 2 months today, and had since had no problems with anyone, so this all came as a surprise. They never issued me with an employment contract (I know I should've chased it, but assumed I would he issued with it at the end of my probation) however I have today emailed them asking for a copy.
When I tried to speak with my boss before I left their workshop today, he said he was not interested in discussing the matter of insubordination and told me "unfortunately I do know you" so had no trouble believing I was unpleasant towards the manager.
The real advice I'm seeing is regarding my pay - does my ex company have the right to charge me for the damaged property, or is it up to them to foot the bill.
Having done a portion of research on the matter today, it seems apparent that without written consent from me, or it being mentioned in my contract they cannot, however due to it not being my companies property and that of a client, does this change the matter?

Hi everybody! I know the news of nukes and wars have been going around for a long time so I’ve never been so fearful or surprised of threats of nukes. But this just feels different, apparently Putin will make a TV statement about an upcoming ICBM missile launch to Ukraine tmrw, on Nov 30th, I’ve never prayed this hard for other people in my life. I don’t even know how to pray to begin with, I don’t want to see more people dying cause of a USELESS war. What if Putin really does pull off a ICBM would that be game over or the end game?? I really feel like Jesus is coming back soon and I’m really not trying to be all preachy, but this really feels like this is gonna be one bumpy ride. I’ll pray for everybody in Ukraine, Russia, and everyone to be safe in the Name of Jesus.
