Hi, I'm a tourist visiting Goa next week, will be staying for a week in south. I do recreational fishing (not an expert 😛) with my fishing rod. I know that local lakes and ponds are auctioned by local people and they might not allow outsiders to do fishing. I don't want to cause any trouble to others nor don't want to get into any trouble. I also read on few online forms that cops also sometimes create trouble and confiscated fishing rod or ask for bribe. Is there any rule to get a fishing licence and Goa?
Please suggest places where I can do fishing peacefully. Thank you.

Hi, i am doing meditation for the last 2 years. I have got numerous benefits which I dont want to talk about at the moment. But in short, my life completely changed since I started doing meditation. Though I am doing really great but at the same time there are places where i need to put more efforts and one of this is Boredom. As I have ADHD, I always want to do something and dont like boredom or being silent or still at all. I feel calm and still only just post-meditation and that is also 2 hours max. How can I cherish boredom and be more still and comfortable with it?

My daughter’s speech has been gradually and rather hastily deteriorating ever since her craniotomy. I thought that perhaps it was a by-product of the proceedure but it has been worsening with the days, she can barely speak as she slurs words and now seems to speak with a permanent lisp of sorts. The oncologist has informed me that this is likely connected to her tumour’s growth in her frontal lobe, following a recent MRI.
I was very concerned and confused, they took her off chemo because they said it wasn’t shrinking the tumour but insisted that the cancer was responding to the radiation, how and why is it still progressing? He explained to me that the form of brain cancer (glioblastoma), is very fast progressing and resiliant to much treatment, but that also, her cancer in particular, is highly malignant and shows a great capacity to spread, this is the same reason that they need to up/change her pain-killer medication nearly everyweek in order to treat her headaches.
Has anyone else experienced speech problems as a symptom, if so, have they progressively gotten worse consistently or did they ever stop worsening? even for a while?

Hi everyone! There's been a development.
Today my ex reached out to me after a little over a month after I sent her shot apology I mentioned in previous post. It makes it a little over 3 months after breakup. Message:
Hey hey, I have a little question. Have you cleaned up the NYC photos yet? I was actually going through my phone recently and it occurred to me that the ones from the island(Statue of Liberty island) are missing. Would it be possible for you to send them to me if you still have them?I said sure no problem and asked why was she going through the photos from our NYC trip.
Her answer was:
I'm tidying up my photos after the vacation and I figured maybe it's time to prune duplicates from other trips, too, because I haven't done that in a year, so my phone is a complete mess.Ye, she can be like that
I asked her about sending me some photos from that trip because I was missing a few. She sent me some photos with us together hugging and smiling to the camera. I did the same. After we shared them with each other she thanked me. We did a really little smalltalk and that was that. It was a little stale. She asked a question. Told me that everything is fine and didn't answer a question where she went for her vacation. She left me on read after I mentioned I met my team in real life (I work from home as a programmer).
I really am trying not to read into it too much. Seriously. It was not a reunion talk or anything like this at all. It was very polite and I kept it light not overwhelm her. But the thing remains that she was going through our photos and asked for more. I am not sure how to interpret this. It can be only about the photos and it's probably it because she kind of treated it like business. I didn't want to start any "serious" conversation. I need to state the obvious that my brain is overly excited about this. I can high-five myself for keeping it cool enough.
I am not going to continue this convo tomorrow or any day soon. I am not sure I should be reaching out next time. Of course I am hoping for establishing rapport, but my gut is telling me that it's not that. Can this situation and her behavior be significant? She can still be pursuing a relationship with a new guy. But I am asking myself I she would really ask for photos of her and us if she was in other relationship?

It's also a major cop out for people to claim the other person isn't arguing in good faith. That just means that they can't actually defend their position.
Have you ever been to a debate match? It's pretty often that people will be tasked to defend a position that they don't personally believe in or that they think is wrong.
That doesn't change the veracity of what's being discussed.
Again, "you're arguing in bad faith" is the ultimate loser cop out and a Reddit favorite because of the abundance of losers.

2024.11.29 14:29 robobeau Sony Xperia 1 V Mic / LED are broken, and I think I know why. Could use some help!
My phone's rear Mic and LED have been broken for a couple months now, and I pried the back off the phone to investigate. On my phone, you can see here the contacts are pretty worn down.
I thought this was the issue, originally, until I discovered some loose metal parts stuck in crevices around the camera module. Here's what they look like, and here is where they're supposed to be. You'll notice that there's 3 connectors (?) that are missing these 3 little pieces. If you check this teardown video (@ 3:59), you can see that these connectors are part of the main board.
They do not seem repairable without expert soldering skills. 🫤 So either, I get a new main board, or I hire an expert electronics repair person to solder these little connectors back in to place.
If anyone happens to know what these are, and know how to repair them, please share!
