 | I recently pulled the trigger on the Switch 2 in the Black Friday sale. I live in a neighborhood with awful traffic noise and mostly wanted something to keep me sane during the day. Also I'm getting older and spent too much time stood by speakers as a teenager, so am finding it increasingly difficult to tune out background noise in conversations in busy places. Anyway, plugs arrived this week and I almost sent them straight back. I tried every ear tip using all the usual tricks to get a good seal and none of them worked. Eventually I started experimenting with other ear tips I had lying around and found some Sennheisers that came closest. I'd heard that Spinfit Omni tips are particularly forgiving and can often fit when others won't. I ordered the size closest to the Sennheisers and now I understand why you all love these things so much. When I switch to Quiet mode, it feels like my brain is being sucked out. Mahlzeit zusammen,
mal was entspanntes zum Wochenende. Ich habe zuhause aktuell einen Kabelanschluss (1000/50) mit einer Fritz 6490. Glasfaseranschluss ist in Aussicht, wird aber noch eine ganze Weile auf sich warten lassen.
Jetzt hätte ich gerne einen neuen Router, der auch DOCSIS 3.1 kann - den ich im Idealfall auch nach einem Wechsel auf Glasfaser weiterhin als Router verwenden kann.
Ist AVM hier weiterhin der way to go? Oder gibt es andere Geräte, die es sich lohnt anzuschauen? Das letzte Mal, dass ich mich mit Routern beschäftigt habe ist schon einige Jahre her...

Petite urgence cette semaine, ma conjointe vient probablement de se déchirer un ménisque dans le genou et partout où on appelle pour louer ou acheter une béquille (certains appellent ça une canne canadienne) qui s'appuie sur l'avant-bras, on en trouve nulle part. Ou il faut attendre quelques semaines. Même chez Médicus.
Idéalement ça se réglerait rapidement, histoire qu'elle puisse reprendre le travail.

I live in Wales, UK and am on the verge of taking airline Aer Lingus to court using the Northern Ireland small claims process. I'll summarise the situation briefly and would be grateful for comments on whether my case looks solid or if there's anything I've not considered to my detriment. Thank you.
I should mention that according to Aer Lingus's company registration details webpage, Aer Lingus UK Ltd has a registered office in Northern Ireland (but not in Wales, England nor Scotland), while Aer Lingus Ltd has a registered office in Ireland.
Background
Aer Lingus cancelled my flight with it from Boston, US, to Ireland, that was scheduled for Oct 18, due to reason pilot sickness. It (Aer Lingus) provided me an alternative flight that landed more than four hours later than the scheduled flight.
I used its webform for cancelled/delayed flight compensation claims (including my bank details) on Oct 20 and on Oct 29 it no-reply emailed me to confirm that it would be paying me my statutory £520 via bank transfer. I phoned it on Nov 6 to chase the payment because I hadn't received it in my bank account. It told me on that call that I would receive it by Nov 15.
I phoned it on Nov 15, recording the call, and disclosing that fact to them, and explained the payment still hadn't been received. It suggested both that the payment could take longer to be received than Nov 15 and that it had paid it. (They also laughed at me, which I know means nothing legally but hey, let's add some colour to this ordeal.) It also suggested I should prove to it that I hadn't received the money. I let it know that I would take legal action against it if I didn't receive the money by Nov 29.
I followed up that call with a complaint message summarising the call using its webform and took a screenshot of that and message, and a screenshot of it having been successfully sent.
It no-reply emailed me on Nov 19 to acknowledge there had been a delay in its processing of my payment, and that it was trying to rectify this, but didn't offer any timescales of any kind.
On Nov 22, I sent another complaint message using its webform to acknowledge its Nov 19 email but reiterating that I would still be taking legal action against it if I didn't receive the money by Nov 29, because I didn't believe there was any good reason for the delay given the fact a bank transfer is not hard, and that I considered it was employing delay tactics. I also stated that if I received the money after I had launched my court claim, that I would still continue with the court claim to recoup the fee for the court claim and for interest.
What now?
That brings us to today. Thanks for making it this far!
Question 1: Am I right in thinking that I should be able to use the Northern Ireland small claims process for this (in terms of jurisdiction), without further delay, and that my claim should be successful? (Whether my claim is ultimately for the compensation, court fee and interest, or just the latter two if they pay the compensation before the court date.) After all, AL in writing doesn't dispute that it owes me the money. In my claim I will of course include copies of the emails and webforms and a stamped bank statement of incoming payments for the period from Oct 18 to date to show they haven't paid me.
Question 2: Living in Wales, it would cost me substantially to attend a court hearing in person in Northern Ireland. Do they allow for attending by video link? If they don't, what would be the risk to the outcome of my skipping attending it?
Question 3: Have I given AL reasonable time and made reasonable efforts to resolve this with them without the courts? It's not part of any Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme, but perhaps it's required or expected to complain to a regulator first.

Hey guys, so I recently have some blurry memories that I’m not sure which game they’re from. I recently finished playing Opposing Force and Half-Life 1, and I played a bit of Blue Shift, but I couldn’t figure it out. Maybe it was a mode or something. Here’s what I remember:
There were Black Ops spies and the G-Man in the level. I remember maybe a teleporter or some machine. Maybe we were captured? And somehow, I remember the G-Man was somehow inside this thing. Even though he’s normally untouchable, this machine was able to kill him, and you could see the classic dismembering animation of his body. I remember this from my childhood, so maybe I was just daydreaming or I played a mod or something. Please help me figure it out!
