Hi
I have an old harddrive from 2008 which I want to recover some things from. But I want to take an exact copy of it and do it on the copy, in case I fuck up (this is entirely new to me).
The hard drive has a newly formatted windows 7 on it, but it used to have images and videos I want to recover. It might have been formatted several times since the images and videos were there so I guess my chances are slim.
I have seen this tool https://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/, is that a good tool for making the copy?
I have no idea about actual recovery tools, if you have any suggestions, please let me know, but I'll look into that when I get the copy created at some point. 😊
Btw. The hard drive is 500gb. I have another harddrive which is 2tb, which I thought I would copy it to and do the recorvery from.

2024.11.29 14:42 GreyArea1985 Have you migrated Fact Tables and dimension tables from SQL Server to AWS Databricks? If yes, how did you handle it?
we are migrating our BI DWH (Dimension Tables and Fact tables) from SQL Server to Databricks.
The exisitng data load set up in SSIS is this:
Soruce - SQL Server Raw table
Stage: Get only latest updated data based on timestamp column
Final layer: Use Merge statement to update the final table (All merge statements are Stored Procedures)
Now we want to keep the same Secondary keys that generated on SQL server in our Unity Catalogue as well.
My appraoch is to keep one notebook for each table , so I can make sure to maintain logic for each and every table speararetly
let me know if there is any other better way to do it
or if you have done migration from sql server to databricks , please let me know how did you guys did it.

The revenge for 400 casualties of October Hamas attack is constantly bombing civilians for over 1 year with over 350.000 casualties and millions displaced and displaced people that got attacked while in humanitarian zone. Surely this is pure "defense" and not actively aggression and obviously imperialistic.
At same time: bombing civilian infrastructure in Ukraine by Russia is considered to be exactly this - war crimes and crime against humanity. Why is it different in conflict Russia-Ukraine compared with Hamas/Hezbollah-Israel.
Besides the so called "Staatsräson" in Germany, why are the opinions so different in this topic. Putin is a war criminal, but Netanyahu mustn't be called that, otherwise it's considered antisemitism?!
