 | I bought a new canister filter about a month and a half ago. Installed it. It works great but ever since I put it in I get these little tiny white particles everywhere in my fish tank. When I bought the filter I rinsed and cleaned all the media two or three times before using it. I also hooked up my old canister filter that (fluval 207) was too small for my tank as a polisher and just some extra filtration. The new canister filter it's a five layer media and in the fluval 207 it's a three. I have filter floss in both. I have activated carbon in both. And I have a bag of puregen in the new canister filter. This is an African cichlid tank. I have been fish keeping these fish for years. Although I've had little particles in my tank before I've never had it to this extent. I do a 50 to 80% water change every week which clears it up quite a bit, but it jeeps comong back. My fish are calm and non-aggressive. My water parameters are spot on. My tank is cycled. I just don't know how to get rid of these little particles. Obviously being in the hobby, I want to achieve crystal clear water. If anybody knows or has experienced this issue before, I could really use a bit of guidance on this one. I found the charcoal briquettes fit in this. I lit the end with a butane torch.
I've angled it up to help the next briquettes snake.

Hello all,
I was woken one night in the middle of July this year with a sharp pain between my right shoulder blade and my spine. The pain was excruciating when breathing in. I tolerated it for a few days before going to my GP. She felt it warranted a visit to the hospital given my pain level, sweating and o2 sat of 92/93 from just walking 10 metres. All the worrying things were ruled out. Heart, cancers, etc.
An MRI was booked in for October and in the lead up to the MRI the pain (ALWAYS started at night began to spread around the entire area that I would consider my rib cage (front and back). It would be extremely painful to move in the morning, but once I was up and going things weren't too bad and as the day went on the pain was there but wasn't stopping any normal activities.
Thorac/Cerv MRI done which showed a 'minor' bulge between C6/C7.
The main part of this post, and the thing that is concerning me the most.
Several times per week I am waking up in the morning and I have virtually zero, and I mean zero strength in my arms and legs. Take this morning for example. I sat on the edge of my bed and I was unable to go from a seated to standing position, my legs just didn't have the power to do it.
I then thought maybe if I kneel down I could use both my arms and legs to get myself to an upright position. Nope, that didn't work. Eventually I was able to get myself into a standing position but it must've taken at least 5 minutes.
Once I am up and my legs are locked I am able to walk, but not able to left my legs any further than the normal sort of walking height without difficultly. e.g stepping over something would be extremely difficult. It just honestly feels like my muscles lack the power to do even the most basic of things.
When it comes to my hands/arms, I am unable to open my drink container that I left on my desk last night, I'm unable to zip up my jeans or the top button on my trousers of jeans, unable to open a circular type door handle.
I am worried because it's not like I am a small guy and I am by all accounts pretty strong but when this happens I feel totally helpless.
During the course of the day the weakness and dexterity fade away and I feel normal again, but this can take 3-4 hours in some cases.
I will need to go back to my GP but is there anything that springs to mind in my situation? It's quite distressing to feel totally helpless and unable to get myself from the floor to a seated or standing position without it being a huge struggle over the course of several minutes.
I've no idea if the back pain could be related to this, or if they're connected but I wanted to make sure I included everything that's going on at present.
Appreciate any input on this because it is starting to have quite a negative impact on my life and the anxiety around bed time, knowing what the morning might bring isn't fun.
