Hello everybody & Dr K if you’re reading this.
I’m 27 and I’m stuck on making a decision to decide what career path I should take. I found out two years ago that I wanted to be a social worker or a therapist. I would like to be social worker more my only problem is that I have three choices to from. My three choices are social work, dental hygiene or as funny as this sounds a rapper. I want to be a social worker but my only issues is that I fear not being able to make much in the future. I feel like not making much will be very counter productive since I’m trying to get out of my current job that’s sucks and it’s hard get by with my salary. I always wanted to help struggling with issues from this world and help the mentally ill. I feel like this is my calling. But I also want to have money to live free and do the stuff I want and afford a house. I live in Canada and are housing market is terrible. I also feel like being paid less will prevent me from finding love.
Which Is why I believe dental hygiene was my second option. Since it provides me with a stable income. But I fear not liking the job because I’m just doing it for the money, living without purpose.
Now my third option which is what I wanted to be for a long time was a rapper (artist). I feel so misplaced and odd compared to everyone else that I feel like if I was a rapper I could get away from people. And I could make the music I really love while getting paid. My only concern is that I don’t want to be famous and give away my everyday life. I also feel like finding true love will be even harder as a rapper.
I guess writing this down has made see that maybe I want be a social worker more I just fear if making little for my calling is the right decision. I Iive with my Mexican parents and I grew up with lot of machismo culture (toxic masculinity). That makes me question my decision even though I don’t agree with that stuff. I’ve lost weight and conquer and controlled my ocd and intrusive thoughts but this fear is hard to overcome

Planning on building a man o war for games of age of sigmar (the concept behind the battles is a man o war besieged by smaller vessels from other factions).
Planning on making the man o war somewhere between 3 and 4 foot long, about 2 foot wide roughly. To achieve this, I need to be able to bend wooden strips, and I was wondering how to manage that.

 | My dog Duncan is supposedly nine and a half years old and a lab/golden mix. I got him the breed, age and health test, sent the swabs in and am waiting to get the results! Any guesses on the breakdown? I'm 100% sure he's got lab in him but the rest of it I have no clue about. He also has a mostly blue tongue. I know that can be common in labs but most pics of labs with blue tongues just have a little splotch or a few here and there. I also find that his temperament doesn't match that of a lab/golden. Socializing plays a big part in temperament and I know that he has wasn't socialized as a pup, I got him when he was about a year old, but he's so mean! (Not to me 😊) Doesn't like anyone except for my fiance and I, and that's not for a lack of trying. He's been through so much training and at the end of the day he's an old man that just doesn't want anything to do with anyone else, and that's fine by me. But not usually what you see with that kind of dog. As a side note he also has stage four lymphoma (but is doing very well rn! Third pic is from today) so I'm curious to see if the health test picks up anything about that. I get that triple A games require a lot more resources but i don't feel like it justifies their prices.
I was looking at indie games and well a lot of them kick triple A games' booty when it comes to price to hours.
1.) V Rising for 94 1/2 hour game without sales, it's 35 USD
2.) Sun Haven for a 89 hour game without sales, it's 25 USD
3.) Fields of Minsteria for a 30-50 hour game already (it's still in early access), it's 14 USD
4.) Celeste for a roughly 9 hour game, it's only 1-5 dollars since it's on sale a few times a year
5.) Hades for a roughly 23 hour game, it's 25 USD
And these are all pretty unique games and are done for the most part (V Rising is getting a expac soon-ish, and FOM is still in early access)
Charging 50, 60, 70 USD for the base

I understand that the rotating magnetic field created by the ac and the poles is what makes the axis rotate and that the magnetic field makes a full 360 every cycle, so at 50 hz and 1 min (60 sec) the field rotates 1500 times, but why if you add more poles it gets reduced? The resulting magnetic field from multiple phases still makes the full 360 every cicle right?

So the taco truck I like is back in my town. I've been going fairly regularly (once a week or so), so I have plenty of opportunity to practice my Spanish. However, the person working the window on the truck is one of the women, which I hadn't tried speaking spanish with yet. She's friendly, but I just haven't been brave enough to try my Spanish with her XD
The other day I went, and I was planning on greeting her in spanish, but I chickened out. HOWEVER, when I asked for chicken wings, I used the Spanish words for them, as that's how they're wrote on the menu, and SHE SWITCHED TO SPANISH!! Unfortunately, they no longer have chicken wings, but she told me in English, then switched to Spanish and said the same thing, then when I was done ordering she gave me my total in spanish. When she gave me my food I told her in spanish to have a good Thanksgiving. I did have to say it twice because the first time she thought I was speaking English asking if they were open on Thanksgiving ("un buen" I guess sounds like "open" and I wasn't sure if there was a different word to use for Thanksgiving, so I said Thanksgiving kind of as a question), but the second time I said it she gave the hand sign for "good" and said buen or bueno, idk, but I guess I said it okay apart from the terrible accent I had the second time I said it XD
(For reference I'm at not quite 500 hours and started speaking early with an Italki tutor, although haven't had a ton of lessons because of needing some long breaks from lessons a couple of times)

We got her at 9 weeks and had her a month now, she definitely wants to be near us and we don’t want to deny her that but we do need to start building some independence.
We can leave her alone when she’s napping but otherwise if we leave her alone she’ll bark and whine in her playpen for what appears to be forever.
Any ideas on how to move forward? Just want to make sure I’m doing the right thing here.

Hello! Hope you’re having a good day.
I’m not - my entire day was spent doing the laundry. My washing machine is old and I’m not in a position to get a new one. It’s a small washedryer. I usually set it to a 48 minute washing cycle, but the dryer cycle tends to take 2 hours and 40 minutes to be effective. Any less than that and the clothes are sopping wet. Then, so many of my clothes wrinkle and need to be ironed. And to top it all off, everything needs to be folded or hung and put away. I end up spending a whole day doing the laundry and as grateful as I am to have clean clothes, I dread the process. It genuinely has taken me 7+ hours today. Having ADHD probably doesn’t help.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice or tips as to how they deal with laundry quickly and effectively, because I can’t keep doing this. 😭
