I am the most regularly-sized guy ever: 5’11”, 180lbs, 40ish chest, 32 or 34 waist. I fall almost perfectly between sizes M & L in the Short Lined Cruiser. The M is too tight to layer, so ok but definitely a “fashion fit”. The L is quite a bit largelooser all over. I decided to buy one of each and try shrinking the L….
Look closely. These are two unworn SLC’s purchased from Filson in NYC on the same day. The blue one (underneath) is a size L, deliberately left hanging out in the rain for 8 hours to encourage it to shrink a little; it’s dry now. The black one (on top) is a size M, fresh out of its protective poly bag.
Observations:
- Yes, SLC’s shrink when they get wet through. Even just one soaking appears to have a measurable effect.
- My rain-shrunk L is now almost exactly the same measurements as my un-shrunk M across the shoulders and the waist.
- My rain shrunk L is now just a little larger (perhaps an inch either side) at the chest
- My rain shrunk L is now just a little longer (perhaps 3/4inch) in the arm
YMMV, but I hope someone finds this useful…!

Always hated Soulsgames. Thought that the fanbase were elitist SOBS that couldn't see pass their shit portfolio of Fromsoft games. I was always more a FPS guy; DOOM, Half life, Halo etc. Then I bought Dark souls 3 last month. I finished the game within 2 weeks. Then finished it again. And again. And again. By the time I uninstalled the game I had 100% it and loved every second doing it. The story, the lore, the combat was so good...... Vaativdiya videos, Farming, I went the whole 9 yards. Right now there's the Autumn sale going on Steam. I have enough money to buy only one soulsgame right now. Elden ring is not on sale right now and I wanted to play that game. But dark souls 1 is on sale right now. I already know DS1'S plot and have seen a boss fight or two. I like Elden rings color grading, graphics but at the same time I yearn for another game like DS3. WHAT SHOULD I BUY ? DS1 ? DS2 ? OR SHOULD I WAIT FOR ELDEN RING ?

Sometimes I think people can't use their imagination whenever they say "anti magic is to broken, the power system is busted because of that, anti magic ruined everything", but they never think about the fact that Anti Magic is also a magical power, which means it is part of the system, therefore, there can be magic attribute which can weaken anti magic or perfectly countering it.
And that magic attribute doesn't need to be some "world ending" power, it can be super effective against anti magic while being weak to another magic attribute. For example: "Anti Magic > Sea Salt Magic > Bronze Magic". And with that, there would be magic attributes which can weaken or nullify Anti Magic without "busting" anything.
As it was stated many times, everything has a counter. Poison weak and being countered by Gel, Plant weak and being countered by Poison or Flame, Light weak and being countered by Mirror and Mercury. There are even magic attributes which cancel their own magic attributes.
Thought I admit, I never saw Anti Magic as an omnipotent power. Even with that, Asta still lost, overpowered or needed help/support from others. And this is true to all of his fights except where he had obvious advantage. For example, he couldn't do anything against Zagred and Lucifero by himself and even after slicing Lucifero with the 5 second power up, Lucifero almost killed him if Nacht, Sukehiro and Yuno don't wake up to helping him finishing him off. On the other hand, Damnatio literally had nothing against Asta, as both of his magic attributes were mad matches against Asta.
So yeah, I think there can easily be magic attributes which can weaken and countering anti magic without "being broken".

 | So, there was a little “incident” this past weekend and my husband may gotten sick on his jacket. He has had this jacket for a LOONNNNNG time. It says dry clean only. Most of the tag is faded too. 2024.11.29 15:51 Crossbows The prioritization feature is so fucking stupid.
It seems with each new iteration of Outlier, they take one step forward and one step back. On Marketplace, you’re supposed to have freedom to choose different projects, but that simply isn’t the case. I don’t know what engineer added the prioritization feature, but it completely defeats the purpose of MP, and they’re, no offense, quite incompetent if they do not realize that. I know companies want their projects done, but isn’t the entire point of being an independent contractor choosing what work you’d like to do? I’m okay with doing this project, I just don’t want to be forced to only do this one project.
I already know this project is going to be rather stringent and annoying because the prompts are designed to make the AI fail and I have to fix their responses and then make another prompt and response, but, again, the onboarding to teach you how to be perfect is littered with grammar errors and a training video wherein the guy doesn’t actually do the task (you’re supposed to write a follow-up prompt and he literally just wrote “follow-up prompt”) and says umm literally every other word.
I don’t know. Is this company one big social experiment to see how desperate someone is for money? I feel like a lab monkey.
TLDR: the prioritization feature is really dumb, and it forces you to deal with the awful onboarding experience more often than I’d like. If I wasn’t constantly shifted from project to project, I could actually improve at that project and not have to do unpaid training that is almost entirely useless.
