Hello, my laptop’s processor is an i9 13980HX, and the CPU is overheating. While I should be getting a score of 31,000 in Cinebench, due to thermal throttling, I am only getting 26,000. The CPU is drawing an average of 130 watts. I took it to the service center twice: once they replaced the heat sink, and the other time, they changed the thermal paste and formatted it before returning it. At first, everything was great, but after three days, the same issue occurred again. During gaming, it runs at 90-95 degrees Celsius. Please help me. (They used MX-4 as the thermal paste).

As an EP, looking at a JFK-LAX flight with the goal of ending up in a seat with extra leg room (am tall). Decision is to buy or not buy. Current Situation:
Economy: Will book economy and happy sitting here in an in an aisle MCE or Exit Row but economy only has middle seats and few available seats overall.
Business: Only 2 unassigned seats
First: NINE of 10 unassigned and presumably most unsold
Question: What is the chance of AA pushing elite members/Biz customers forward to First thereby freeing up more Biz seats OR are they happy flying with the First cabin empty with full business and economy cabins, and elites stuck in bad seats?
Appreciate any advice - this is a unique 3 class domestic situation.

2024.11.29 15:41 Reckful-Abandon I don't like how the partner system impedes story and characterization
So I just finished The Thousand Year Door, and thought it was solid: 7/10 or maybe 8 if I'm feeling generous. I was, however, pretty let down by the party members and their characterization. I get that this is Mario, and expecting every character to have super deep and nuanced characterization is absurd. But I was at least expecting the characters to be comical. Pretty much every comedic moment from your partners is from before they join your party, and afterwards they kind of blandly react to whatever is going on around you.
I really wish that we got at least a few moments where the party members not currently in use got to do something. As is, the partners all have to be written to do and say the same things with different words because the developers don't know who's going to be in your party for any given scene. So even if you bring an appropriate partner, like Vivian to the Shadows rematch, she can only say one or two lines, and Beldam won't react to her at all. I wish that we got a few scripted moments with each character to show some sort of growth. Something like if Goombella was able to see through one of Doopliss' disguises because she felt bad she couldn't recognize Mario, so she studied up of his habits and mimicry. Or maybe add some more moments where we can see party members interacting. Your inactive party could be out in the overworld during the Glitzville or Excess Express chapters, and you could see what sort of hijinks they're getting up to. Also, in the case of Vivian, there were several reveals during the later chapters that I felt confused that Vivian, who has been to the X-naut base, spoken to Grodus, and was Beldam's sister, neglected to tell us that information previously.
I still enjoyed my time with The Thousand Year Door, but I did think this was one place that they really dropped the ball. I dunno, maybe I'm not seeing something here, but I wasn't really attached to any of my party members by the end. Maybe you guys feel different though or maybe there's something I'm missing.

Curious if this has happened to anyone else.
The way my and my friend’s travel plans shook out, I was in the airport for about 5 hours as her flight was before mine. After she boarded, I minded my own business, grabbed a to-go lunch and found a quiet spot to eat and hang out.
A pair of agents passed me a few times, they didn’t have security identification on them but had matching navy outfits, one with a casual-looking purse. She came up to me and asked me the following questions, including but not limited to:
“How long have you been in Iceland?” “What did you do here?” “Which van rental company did you use?” “Who was driving the van?” “Are you aware of all of the contents of your suitcase?” “Do you have any wrapped gifts in your suitcase?” “Where did you sleep last night?” “How did you get to the hotel this morning?”
This last question was the weirdest of all, because when I told her “we walked,” she laughed. I waited for her to stop and I said “There is no shuttle and it is 3 minutes away, how else should I have gotten here?”
With each passing question, our conversation picked up in pace, as I was compliant and confident from the start, and self-assured that nothing “bad” would happen. I was very open about how my travel plans resulted in my presence here and didn’t have anything to hide.
At the end of this she put a sticker on my passport and said to show this to any of her colleagues if they’ll stop me again.
The nature of her questions seemed odd, and along the lines of what passport control would have asked - she could see from my passport that I had already been through there. I’m not bothered or shaken up by this, but curious if this has happened to anyone else.
