What lenses would be a good starter to purchase along with it?
I know absolutely nothing about photography or cameras
I also purchased a backpack to store the camera and lenses, a tripod, a memory card, and a spare battery with a speedy dual charging station.

Me (30m) and my ex (26f) broke up 1.5 months ago. After 2 years together but 1 year and change as BF & GF.
Since the brake up I move abroad for 3 months (going back to in two months, but not same city). In the moment of the breakup we discuss about it and as she was decided I didn’t begged or asked for her to rethink. I bought a ticket and I left.
She said stuff like I was the best partner she ever had. (That’s easy all her exes were pieces of shit. One was violent, the other cheated on her, and the last one treated her like garbage) She decided to break up with me after a fight we had about family issues.
Since I arrived here I started therapy, the gym and get in touch with some old friends. I had been trying to work on myself and giving her the space that she wanted with the break up.
Only after 10 days here she FaceTime me out of the blue. I didn’t answer I was still too bad emotionally.
4 days later I wrote to her apologizing for not picking up and we chatted. She said she was feeling nostalgic, lonely, and that everything seems so dark and shitty now that she is alone. And said that the day she called me she was literally out of control crying and feeling sad.
5 days after she sent me a picture of a teddy we had always in our bed. Pretty emotional. I thought ok maybe she is having second thoughts. But seems that the problem was not our fight that end on us splitting. It’s that she felt that her attraction for me was lost. And she doesn’t think that that can get back.
3 days after that she sent me a post on Instagram about something we used to do us a couple. I just was able to like the post and that’s it.
7 days after that she wrote to me again. This time asking about me how I am, what I’m up to. We ended speaking about my therapy and how I was doing. Then she told me she needed to understand herself better. Why she feels how she feels and why does everything her way… she told me she wants to change her psychologist. So she can work on more deep stuff.
What does all this means?
I tried my best to let her be happy, to even in hurting to give her the break up. And she still keeps reaching out to me. And it’s not on a let’s be friends way. I made that clear to her.
She reached out to me so many times and I just reached out once to be polite. Don’t get me wrong I’m still in love with her, I know she has some childhood trauma and all the bad experiences with her exes but I can understand all this.

2024.11.29 15:30 DJ-hyperfresh- Short Story: Company Where Employees Can Live Life’s Moments For You
It’s a brilliant story, hopefully not too niche.
Essentially, it’s 3rd person and follows the story of a man that works at a company where employees can live through the eyes of customers. For clarification, employees sitting in cubicles would literally enter the body of customers at a designated time, full control and everything. The reader is to assume nobody can tell, it’s just between the company and the paying customer.
The story is never really embracive of futuristic or cyberpunk concepts, it’s solely this specific technology and the culture around it. As an employee, some jobs were mundane, like simply passing time during boring moments, or avoiding a meeting with your boss because you know he plans on firing you. So as the employee, you’d sit there and get scolded by the customer’s boss, and afterwards revert back to your desk.
I believe the climax was of a grandson saying goodbye to his grandfather, who is on his deathbed living his final moment. The grandson did not want to confront the emotional burden of saying his goodbyes, so he pays the company, and the protagonist is the one who fills in for the grandson. The story fixated on how the grandfather looked into the grandson’s eyes, and in that final moment, could tell his grandson was not there. It was gut-wrenching and really made you wonder how a society got so fixated on skipping life’s moments when our time is only so short. That we need both the good and the bad to make our time worthwhile.
I might’ve mixed up some details, but that’s the gist of it. There’s a lot more to it too, like the man having a relationship amidst all this. I think it fixated a lot on eyes, so could be the title maybe.

Is where the main character and her husband who is in a wheelchair are trying to escape from the underground lab by going up a ladder and shes trying to help him up but he is ultimately killed and another is where they left an old church that people believed wouldn't be attacked and later the characters leave and look back at the church and it is destroyed and the last one is the wife and companions go back to the lab and she sees her husband enveloped in this white ish pale growth on the ladder where he died.
