2024.11.29 15:30 somethinginter3sting [M4F] looking to add a story or two to the roster
Alright, I'll start with the about me and see if that scares you off. I'm 28 and have been doing this for more than ten years. I see myself as an old hound dog and a good story is my sunny porch. I'm fairly laid back, I don't bark much or chase squirrels anymore. I write in the three to five paragraph range, unless in conversation scenes, and I can run out the message limit from time to time when necessary. I don't write filler for the sake of a longer message. I work exclusively on discord. Character creation is my strength, along with world building. I do not do adult scenes. I can usually get out a handful of responses a day and I don't throw a fit if a day gets missed now and then, though I do prefer one response a day. Communication is key there, I know life happens.
I have a few role ideas for now, though these are not absolutes. I'm willing to augment or change details, and I'm willing to come up with an entirely new story if you think I'm a good fit but my base ideas aren't. Ask your questions, and make your suggestions. The worst I can say is no.
1: Slow burn, low drama, high in character connection: you play as an artist in any medium you choose (drawing, writing, music, interpretive pottery, anything you're passionate about.) Your character, either through managers, publishers, or their own volition, contacts my character (a watch maker) about doing a collaboration. This should give a nice slice of life story, though may be boring to some. It's a good story to add in magical elements in a half fantasy world.
2: slow burn, ending in high drama. I can't be bothered to learn geography, so bare with me. Our characters live on a fictitious eighth continent or large island in the pacific, or perhaps a fantasy world if you find the real one boring. My character works as a geologist (or applicable authority assuming a fantasy world) who got his job from nepotism despite being highly qualified. Your character is a journalist or science blogger or something of the sort, maybe a city official, (subject to change if the world changes.) In short, my character discovers that a volcano thought to be extinct may erupt, but doesn't have the social credibility to convince anyone despite being qualified.
3: Guardian Demon: self explanatory. One of us is a demon, the other a human. The demon has either been forced into this roll or taken it out of boredom.
Other interests: I'm a fan of slice of life and fantasy. I'm always open to hearing ideas. NO FANDOM.

Just this morning we noticed a little something in the corner of her eye. It looks like a piece of tissue paper or something but we worry it's her 3rd eyelid. Although, we don't think the 3rd eyelid would look like this, as it should be smooth. She's acting normal, doesn't seem irritated when I touch around the eye area, she isn't pawing her eye or squinting. Any ideas of what this could be? Any suggestions of how to remove it or should I go to the vet?

Probably a stupid question but does anyone have tips for trying to keep the temperature consistent on both the first and second floor of a home during winter? It recently got really cold here (upper mid-west) and upstairs is consistently 6+ degrees warmer than downstairs. We have an ecobee thermostat with a sensor in our primary bedroom. I mainly want our bedroom cooler at night and the first floor a little warmer.

Normally they take a few cms of the piece , but i can´t do that with clothing has sleeves because taking too much with my arms is uncomfortable. The clothing fits my shoulders but looks like a tent aesthetically. I hate tight sleeves , and i want to ask if its possible to sew starting from the armpit instead of the start of the sleeve and keep some space to avoid sensory issues. Or is better to tailor firts removing the sleeves and then tailor the waist?
