I really got into this game within the last year and started making a conscience effort to get seasonal monsters when they’re available. Schmoochle was the first seasonal monster I remember getting, and while I didn’t immediately breed it, I still managed to get a few during the Season of Love event. It was the same story for every seasonal event since then, until now.
Early in the Feast-Ember event, I managed to breed a rare Gobbleygourd. I opened the game once or twice a day during the event and tried to get a common Gobbleygourd to no avail. Since the event is ending, today I decided I would spare diamonds to speed up breeding and incubating until I successfully bred a common Gobbleygourd. It took over 100 diamonds with multiple Wishing Torches lit to breed a common Gobbleygourd.
Whats the deal?!

This book is a whole lot less psychologically educated than dr k's stuff (it's literally just written by some guy) but i found it immensely more helpful than any of his other advice (it is very different from dr k's porn diet advice and whatever.) I'll drop a quick summary here.
The first half is basically debunking any rationalisations that can be used to justify porn use so that when the little goblin tries to seduce us into caving in, we can destroy his argument with FACTS and LOGIC. It explains using pure logic (no science at all) how reasons like "I need it to sleep" and "i need it to be social" are wrong. It also offers some useful conceptualisations/frameworks to assist in kicking the addiction.
One of these for example is viewing the desire to watch porn as a little monster trying to persuade us into "getting our fix" and to view beating porn addiction as the process of starving it until it dies. This has been useful for me for two reasons:
1: It helps me dissasociate from my addiction. I don't want to watch porn, the little pissy tumour in my brain does. I no longer think that i want to watch porn because i have conceptually removed myself from my desire to watch it.
2: The starving thing makes me feel like resisting porn addiction gets exponentially easier rather than harder. It's common for people (i was guilty of this) to think abstinence would make my balls fill up into im some feral rabid horny little gremlin who is desperate to let it out. The "starving the little monster" idea gets rid of this brainworm.
Theres alot more i can't be bothered explaining rn so im just gonna drop this post into the ether and let everyone do whatever they want with it.

Hace 10 años mis padres se mudaron a un pueblo en el culo del pais, soy de Honduras, el problema es que en este país de mierda no pude encontrar empleo en ese momento cuando tenia 18 años y me tuve que mudar con ellos.
Perdí todos mis amigos y novia. La familia que vive cerca no es precisamente de mi agrado y no les tengo mucha confianza.
Dicen que las amistades duran para suempre pero man llega un tiempo en el que poco a poco puerdes contacto.
En donde vivo no me llevo bien con nadie porque la mayoría de los que viven aqui solo saben emborracharse, drogarse, cojer y vejugar fútbol.
Nada de eso me llama la atencion a mi y si también me refiero a lo de cojer. Por algún motivo no encuentro atractiva a ninguna muchacha de por aqui, todas las mujeres del lugar me dan asco en varios sentidos.
Y antes de que pregunten, no soy homosexual ni tampoco asexual, simplemente las mujeres de la zona no me atraen, no quieren estudiar ni trabajar y su mayor "sueño" es que alguien se las "robe" para salir del pueblo y sino es eso, es irse a gringolandia. Como detesto cuando una mujer solo quiere que alguien la mantenga y no tiene ninguna clase de deseo de superación. La mayoría de las chavas de aqui simplemente me desesperan y eso que por lo general intento conocerlas.
Extraño los dias en donde tenía gente con quien hablar y para colmo no puedo encontrar empleo aun siendo ingeniero debido a que este pais es una puta mierda. Lo que me hace casi imposible mudarme ya que no logro ahorrar ni 200$ al año. (en mi último empleo ganaba menos 12$ AL DIA)
Regularmente sueño con que vuelvo a tener amigos de confianza y una mujer a la que de verdad me sienta atraído y cómodo. Y es devastador ver que no puedo salir de esta situación de mierda.
Puta, como extraño esos dias y me pega aun mas fuerte ahora que estoy cerca de mis 30 y sin amigos, trabajo, mujer ni nada.
