So, I found 22 mechs in a jar, some of them Clan and some IS, and while the Clan ones are gonna get distributed between my existing Clan forces, I'm thinking of painting a SLDF unit with my IS ones since all the IS ones are from the Star League era.
My question is, are there any SLDF Regiments that have cool history or something like that? Alternatively, what kind of history should I fill in for an unsung regiment?

2024.11.29 16:39 NE0XY Problem re-adding Temperature and Humidity Sensor
My Camera Hub G3 broke the other day and just installed its replacement. Re adding door sensor, worked immediately, but then I wasn't able to re-add a temperature sensor, even though it has a blue LED when I press. This sensor was previously offline due to it's connection to the broken Camera Hub (but so was the door sensor which worked to re add)
I tried to open the battery lid to see if it would help with a new battery but couldn't get it open lol. I then picked up another temp sensor connected to a M2 Hub. This lid opened super easy but I accidentally pressed it's button and now I can't re add that sensor either...
Any ideas what to do here?

I recently purchased a handgun online and had it sent to an FFL dealer. Once the dealer received the gun, I went in to do the paperwork and was told I had to wait 10 days to pick up. This was expected, so in 10 days, I called the dealer, and he said that they spelled my name wrong on the background check and I’ll have to wait another 10 days. So I do, and I call again after 10 days, and he says now that the background check hasn’t come back yet. This doesn’t seem right now, as I already have a CPL, and background checks shouldn’t take longer than an hour to actually verify, right? It’s now been over 5 business days since the last call, and nothing. Is this typical for WA? Thanks for any input!

I’ve been diagnosed with FND for nearly 2 years but had symptoms for around 15 years. I’ve never had major issues with vertigo, when I’ve had it before it’s literally lasted a few seconds and resolves when I lie down for a minute. Well I’m in a flare up at the moment and had a seizure 2 hours ago and ever since I’ve hardly been able to sit up because the room is spinning aggressively and I feel like I’m going to fall or vomit. I have no experience with it lasting this long and I really don’t know what to do - I’m staying at my partner’s house thankfully so she can help with the dogs if it persists but I only have my cane, no wheelchair. No idea how I’m going to get up to go to the toilet, let alone anything else. Any advice for getting it to pass?? My usual thing of singing along to music isn’t helping and just makes me feel more nauseous when I’m upright 🥲

I am in serious need of advice (and maybe just a little hope). I graduated in 2022 with a degree in fashion merchandising and a concentration in promotions. Since then, I’ve been trying to break into PR—but honestly, it feels impossible. I’ve scoured job boards for months, and I can’t find any entry-level PR jobs in all of New England, let alone ones that fit my background or interests.
Here’s a bit about me: • I completed a PR internship in Ireland during college and had a few other communications-focused internships. • I have a copywriting portfolio with published articles and professional content, but I haven’t been able to put together a PR-focused portfolio due to lack of hands-on experience. • My uncle worked in PR and was a big inspiration for me, but he passed away last year, and I don’t have a professional network within the industry.
I’ve been doing everything I can think of—applying to jobs that seem remotely relevant, using AI tools to automate and optimize my job search, and even reaching out to professionals on LinkedIn for advice or mentorship. But nothing has panned out so far.
Is this just how it is in PR? Do true entry-level positions even exist, or do you have to know someone or already have years of experience to even get your foot in the door? I’m open to any advice: • Should I focus on building a PR portfolio independently? If so, what kinds of projects or case studies should I try to create? • Are there better ways to find these elusive entry-level roles that I might be missing? • How can someone like me, without a network, start making connections in the industry

Last June I put a deposit down for grand highlander, hybrid, recall went into effect. My vehicle was affected from being built and was told I would see it end of October. I call end of October talk to my sales person and they told me that my vehicle was built. It just had to wait for the airbags to be replaced, but I should see it at the end of November early December. Called dealership today to ask them the status and they told me that my vehicle has never even been built yet and they don’t know when it will be built, but then they try to sell me on a 2025 that’s coming in so I asked them how is a 2025 available but not my 2024? So at this point do I just get my deposit back and find something else or what is everybody expecting for a turnaround? Side note. The 2024 was an XLE where the 2025 was a limited and about $8000 more. Just beyond frustrated at this point.
