Hi,
Has anyone experience with using Claude 3.5 Sonnet V2 (2024-10-22) together with LangChain (Agent with tool functions) on AWS?
We have a system prompt defined as an XML document where we explain that it should use the defined tools when necessary, and we pass in the tools like
On us-west-2 (where the model can be accessed directly through the foundation-model id “anthropic.claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022-v2”), the model works correctly. It calls the tools when necessary, and responds in a human language.
On us-east-1 (where the model can be accessed only through the inference-profile id “us.anthropic.claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022-v2”), the model’s response includes an XML-formatted version of the used tool’s schema, but it doesn’t actually call the tool. I also tried it on us-west-2 with the inference-profile id, and it acts the same.
Is there anything I’m unaware of? Is maybe the V2 model accessed through the foundation-model id somewhat different than the one accessed through the inference-model id?

2019 Leaf Tekna 40KWh, ~24K miles
Been a Leaf owner since summer (my first EV). It’s been interesting to see how much freezing temperatures take effect on the range.
So since owning, when fully charged I’ve been getting a solid 140-145 miles on a 40KWh battery; the good ol’ British winter has well and truly begun a couple weeks ago with temperatures hitting zero most nights, since then, on a full charge I’m getting ~125 miles range (realistically closer to 100-110 with the increased use of climate control). Just found it interesting how much the weather affects battery efficiency.
How do freezing temperatures affect your leaf? Want to see examples how different battery sizes and ages handle the cold 🙂

2024.11.29 16:47 Elemento1991 Anyone familiar with old balloon framing methods?(1880s Home)
 | I am adding a small laundry room to my old home. I decided to open the wall up in order to add hookups and reboard over it when I am done. I am concerned that when I opened the wall up I found the lath fastened to 2x2 studs on the first floor. The other room I did about eight years ago was all true 2x4 framing. The exterior sheathing you can see in the picture is big 1x12s or a little thicker that run the full height of the home and the corner board is a massive 2x16ish. It runs behind and ties in with the intersecting wall. I believe this perpendicular intersecting wall is framed the same but I can’t tell without ripping it open. The joists tie into the perpendicular wall so it would be the one carrying the weight. The door jam on that wall is much thicker but it may be because the room it ties into is a lean-to style roof that was probably added later. Did some of these old homes use something similar to a pole building style construction and just tie in from the rim joist to top beam with boards to fasten the plaster and lath to? submitted by Elemento1991 to centuryhomes [link] [comments] |

As for me, I went to Barnes & Noble and literally for about like an hour and a half I debated about which manga I should get considering I don’t have that much money and I ended up buying a Aztec manuscript book which expensive is a good find, but then I learned that Barnes & Noble’s did not have a sale on manga even the cashier lamented that too, considering she said that she collects manga. I’m thinking if I ask my sister during cyber Monday for a huge bundle collection from eBay or Amazon, but even then I don’t know

Only a few runs deep in the game (3 shunting, 10 shipping, 3 run with empty wagons) but as I think I'm gentle with the starter DE2, I'm still baffled by the repair bill. It's not the money, thanks to the assurance :) it's the will to go manual repair. But even a 2769$ bill will be half (1330$) with DVHR MS. So, i'm not a savage, connecting the wagons at a speed < 5 km/h, not speeding (ok sometimes because i'm surprised, may be 5-10 km/h shortely), i ceased to have engine blowing up or stoping, not more electric shut down, so $1845 for the wheels = do i need to accelarate very slowly ?! or brake to a minimum ? $792 for transmission repair (what cause this ?)
