I have an option to buy a nerf pathfinder or an x shot longshot. I have never owned a nerf rival (I bought a mirage but it was defective so returned it). I am looking to move on to a more powerful blaster due to which I chose the pathfinder initially. I have owned 4-5 nerf elite blasters and I love them. Never used anything other than nerf. So I am very sceptical abt the quality on x shot. Any suggestions are welcome.

Hello there!
My first post here, but I have been following this wonderful community since Aug 2024 (my diagnosis date). And first and foremost I want to express my huge gratitude to everyone posting and everyone responding in this subreddit. You all guys have been so helpful!
Before starting my rather long post (sorry for that), I want to state why am I posting here in the first place. I have read many stories so far, but the one I have feels so drastically different due to recent circumstances. So I am feeling confused and really a tiny bit crushed :(
PART 1: some background info
My story goes as follows. Me 25M from Kazakhstan ( English is my 3rd language, so I am very sorry for mistakes. Did want to polish my text with GPT so I would not sound like a robot). 3 nodules in ultrasound (1 on right side, 2 on left, biggest being 16mm). Biopsy showed PTC (Bethesda 6) on largest, Aug 2024. Same month TT, with 5 central lymph nodes removed. Pathology came back showing all nodules, all lymph nodes being malignant with PTC indeed.
PART 2: RAI 25th November 2024, 150mCi of I-131. 3 weeks into withdrawal I had Tg 12, TSH 97. Scintigraphy being clean, only thyroid bed light up. Also salivary glands, GI tract and urinal, but citing my doctors, scintigraphy looks good. One thing worth noting they stressed out that in thyroid bed the iodine was light up rather intensely than they would expect🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ (Thanks to surgeons, impeccable job, they really removed everything malignant which was possible to remove. Can’t be grateful enough)
PART 3: crazy part Noooow, my RAI doctors said to me today: “since you are young and thus high risk (I guess high risk of reoccurrence, honestly I just assumed and did not specify) and because your Tg was high (12) after withdrawal of Levo we will be booking you to next round of RAI, May/June 2025. [Some maybe necessary info here which they totally ignored when I said to them, my Tg while I was on 125mcg of Levo was 0.8]
My take: I will definitely get 2nd or even 3rd opinion and I will definitely try to get from U.S. or European professionals (if anybody knows how to do this, any tips are appreciated, I am willing to pay any reasonable money or even fly to U.S., I have a visa there.) But the fact that almost everybody else is saying that after RAI they were monitoring Tg etc. And then doctors were thinking about next rounds contradicts so much with my case, to the point where I think do they even care about side effects about my body. I am getting emotional here as I was planning marry and have kids with my lovely GF and I was okay with round 1 RAI. But the idea of 2nd round just scares me, makes me panic about future fertility or any other health complications. Especially my GI, I have something called xanthoma in my gut and atrophic gastritis and I worry that RAI can mess up my GI and lead to possible cancer there.

So, I found 22 mechs in a jar, some of them Clan and some IS, and while the Clan ones are gonna get distributed between my existing Clan forces, I'm thinking of painting a SLDF unit with my IS ones since all the IS ones are from the Star League era.
My question is, are there any SLDF Regiments that have cool history or something like that? Alternatively, what kind of history should I fill in for an unsung regiment?

2024.11.29 16:39 NE0XY Problem re-adding Temperature and Humidity Sensor
My Camera Hub G3 broke the other day and just installed its replacement. Re adding door sensor, worked immediately, but then I wasn't able to re-add a temperature sensor, even though it has a blue LED when I press. This sensor was previously offline due to it's connection to the broken Camera Hub (but so was the door sensor which worked to re add)
I tried to open the battery lid to see if it would help with a new battery but couldn't get it open lol. I then picked up another temp sensor connected to a M2 Hub. This lid opened super easy but I accidentally pressed it's button and now I can't re add that sensor either...
Any ideas what to do here?

I’ve been interviewing and looking for my next role. I’m on what my partner calls wave 3 of the job hunt. Which means I’ve had a least a dozen interviews. Here’s what I’ve noticed:
In phase- I stuck to my current industry and demanded the same or higher salary with more flexibility.
I discovered that 40% of hiring managers had not even bothered to read my CV, I was but an inconvenience in their already long day. 30% of roles only advertised the higher salary but hiring managers were looking for someone £10-£20k (I know!) than what the role was listed as. 3 of these hiring managers called me back to do a take home task in wave 2 as they couldn’t find suitable candidates for lower pay (you live and you learn!).
Phase 2 had what I would call the “feelers”. With the budget out and few weeks left for COB, people just wanted to get a sense of what’s out there and what pay they should factor into their annual budget come January. This may just be my own personal experience but I’ve come across hiring managers who are not as seasoned the ones in wave 1 or wave 3. No clear structure of what the roles are ( even though there is a JD), no clarity on how long the interview process will last, shifting title names, just vague general chats. It was a good experience though as sometimes I think it benefits us, as jobseekers speaking out loud about our achievements. Most of these roles have been held off until January, made redundant or simply shifted in seniority level (4/6 were made more junior positions, again for lesser pay.) The hiring managers from wave 1 remained just as confused and we’re all still in limbo.
We’re now in wave 3- I applied to roles outside my industry, still the same role just different products/ services. I have come across more serious hiring managers, who have a real structure to the interview process, clarity on how quickly they want the role to be filled and what the role will entail. This wave has people who have actually spent time reading my CV. Some of them I applied to at the beginning of my job search and they’ve just gotten back to me now, but they’ve actually had a think about what they need. Some of them I applied to a few days ago.
Anyone in the same boat as me, all I can say is don’t turn down an interview no matter how you feel. Vibes changed for me when I spoke to hiring managers. Keep going, keep applying, we can’t give up, because honestly there are real jobs out there, it’s literally a numbers game.
There was one role I was perfect for, real shoe-in, would have excelled and made the company so much money. But I was turned down due to my inexperience. This after 7 years in the same industry, doing twice as much as what the job spec entailed. I did wallow for a day about that one. The truth is some people will just not feel comfortable paying you what you deserve (in this case they categorically wanted someone over 38), and everyone is entitled to their opinion. It’s important to not take it personally, take the feedback that they’ve shared (if it’s relevant- because it may not be everytime) on board and keep going. One company that I interviewed for said that they loved me, and that they hadn’t seen a better fit for the role since they started looking for someone 6 months ago. However, they felt that “I was too used to getting my way”. I think while the words were harsh, this feedback has helped me in how I come across in my interviews. In all honesty I do get my way because I always illustrate the effectiveness of a plan to stakeholders with solid data and research. But I’ve learnt that that’s not how it comes out of my pie hole when a stranger is listening. I’ve softened my approach and I’m moving onto next stages quicker.
I’ve also allowed myself to be more open when it comes to area of work. I’ve always been a generalist marketer but I’m now open to internal/external comms, sales enablement, sales, digital marketing, event marketing, etc. Anything that I have succeeded in or feel like I will excel at, I apply for. You never ever know where life will take you.

I recently purchased a handgun online and had it sent to an FFL dealer. Once the dealer received the gun, I went in to do the paperwork and was told I had to wait 10 days to pick up. This was expected, so in 10 days, I called the dealer, and he said that they spelled my name wrong on the background check and I’ll have to wait another 10 days. So I do, and I call again after 10 days, and he says now that the background check hasn’t come back yet. This doesn’t seem right now, as I already have a CPL, and background checks shouldn’t take longer than an hour to actually verify, right? It’s now been over 5 business days since the last call, and nothing. Is this typical for WA? Thanks for any input!

I’ve been diagnosed with FND for nearly 2 years but had symptoms for around 15 years. I’ve never had major issues with vertigo, when I’ve had it before it’s literally lasted a few seconds and resolves when I lie down for a minute. Well I’m in a flare up at the moment and had a seizure 2 hours ago and ever since I’ve hardly been able to sit up because the room is spinning aggressively and I feel like I’m going to fall or vomit. I have no experience with it lasting this long and I really don’t know what to do - I’m staying at my partner’s house thankfully so she can help with the dogs if it persists but I only have my cane, no wheelchair. No idea how I’m going to get up to go to the toilet, let alone anything else. Any advice for getting it to pass?? My usual thing of singing along to music isn’t helping and just makes me feel more nauseous when I’m upright 🥲
