2024.11.29 16:37 francois_du_nord Simple Sink Bridge Pt 2 (With Pictures)
I built this simple sink bridge with some left-over engineered decking (plastic wood). After looking at plans on-line, I didn't have enough materials for a fancy expanding version. After a couple of hours pondering, I had the aha moment and realized that the in-sink block could move, rather than the bridge expanding and contracting.
The main component is a 1x6" plank that I ran through the table saw 2x to trim to width. One cut was thin to create the stone holders. Thin so that they wouldn't interfere with the knife movement on thin stones. The second cut was thicker and I used that for the in-sink blocks. I used the table saw in a plunge fashion to create the adjustment slot.
The left side of the first picture shows the bridge from the side. The top bolt & wing nut adjust the in-sink block, and the second one down adjust the stone holding block. The bottom in-sink block and stone block are epoxied onto the bridge. Right photo shows the bridge in place.
Second picture shows a Naniwa 400 and King 6000 in a holder installed.

If ur curious what I'm doing, it's a PNHC or Pure No Hit Challenge with Azazel.
I made up this challenge for myself but basically if u want to throw away your life as well, it means that no matter what hits u, even if it's hit from spike room, bad trip pill, hp donation machine, devil beggar, mosoleum doors, and even if u have holy mantle, it still counts and u need to restart.
This run was my best lol - psy fly in treasure room on 1st floor and lilith's soul psy fly as well, combined with sigil and 2 range ups was perfect, if only i didn't take my finger off charging haha. I'm currently between 10 - 20 runs, let's say 14.

It probably shouldn’t be understated how much of an impact this technology will have, even from a nontechnical POV of large organisations looking to take advantage of advances in AI and to simplify and consolidate their tech stacks.
What can Cisco and Splunk do to compete in this space? Will they be able to develop and integrate similar solutions into Splunk to keep up with the competition or is the sun setting for Splunk if generative AI takes over the SOC?

After the reorganization in April, I was moved to a new team and manager. Unfortunately, I’ve faced some challenges that have made the transition difficult, including limited training, communication issues, and a lack of support in learning new responsibilities. While I enjoy my job and have been successful in my previous roles, the current situation has become increasingly stressful and is impacting my overall well-being.
I’ve been applying for internal roles to explore other opportunities but haven’t received much feedback, and I’m unsure how to address this with HR or leadership. I’m also hesitant to approach my current manager about this directly, as I’m not confident it would lead to a constructive outcome.
If anyone has insights, advice, or similar experiences navigating a situation like this, I’d greatly appreciate it. My goal is to continue contributing but in a positive and productive environment.

There is no Amazon distribution center close to my office. You will never see an Amazon truck here, so we are amazon. I'm a t6 and I won't ever see under 100 on a light day. There are some days where I have over 200, and plenty of days the LLV isn't big enough. My office often curtails pallets of Amazon. What's it like in your office? We have out of Towner PTF/CCA come and they literally don't know what to do. Just the other day I went out to help one that comes frequently, he was about halfway through the route and there was no order in the truck. I think he was just taking 1 at a time and going wherever it was.
When was the last time you guys had route inspections?

I finally decided to read my copy of Green Arrow: Quiver. I remember this being one of the first comic books I ever bought and I never got around to reading it. Needless to say, I have decided to rectify that. Yes, I am fully aware that there is plenty I have missed before this story. But, I won't let that sully my enjoyment. To help immerse myself into the story, I decided to listen to the soundtrack of Arrow and I created a voice cast list in my head: Neal McDonough as Oliver, Grey DeLisle as Black Canary, Kevin Conroy as Batman George Newbern as Superman, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke, Crispin Freeman as Roy Harper, Phil LaMarr as Aquaman, Kane-Jungbluth-Murry as Black Manta, and that's just a few of the people I thought of.
I didn't fully know what to expect going into this book. Going in, I was expecting Oliver to deal with the "Star City Slayer" and maybe tackle one or two members of his rogues gallery. However, this turned out to be more than I expected. This was my first introduction to characters like Mia Dearden and Connor Hawke and I definitely enjoyed them. I am also glad I didn't make this the first Green Arrow book I read because there is certainly a lot of context that I might need to research (especially Ollie's death and his rough patch with Dinah). However, seeing Oliver deal with his circumstances, his death, and the new world around him was an interesting read. Kevin Smith definitely did a great job with the writing and the artists also did well with drawing this book. That said, I am likely going to continue the DC Rebirth run on the character.

As far as I know a headshot is a critical strike that has a 25% chance of applying for each hit. So lets say the enemies have a 5% chance to hit one of my bros, Is that a 25% chance of headshot out of the 5% chance of hit?
I ask this because my nimble 70 Mdef has almost always a 5% chance of being hit yet almost every fight he gets a hs.
