You could also say it this way: "how do you do" back has been replaced with an equally meaningless reply. (the Simple Present), and also, that they have to be completed this way: "Do you mind if I do sth?/Would you mind if I did sth?" (asking permission), and "Do/Would you mind doing sth" (a request). But why does "Do you mind if … ?" occur more than "Would you mind if … ?", and, conversely, "Do you mind doing … ?" less than "Would you mind ... You shouldn't just go on talking in the first person, though. I think it only makes sense to state that you are saying something. "On behalf of my wife and myself, I'm going now." — doesn't make sense. As a matter of style, it might be better to simply use the first person plural. "My wife and I cordially invite you to a ditch digging ceremony." The full phrase this originated from is "do you and I'll do me". Another variation is "do you - cuz I'mma do me". Hello! My partner and i recently found our beautiful child in a parking lot and we took him in immediately. We took him to multiple vets, but everyone has a different opinion on whatever happened to him and why one of his eyes is missing. We barely treated his cold with a round of antibiotics and did all his vaccines. We treated him for conjunctivitis also with antibiotic eye drops for two weeks, but the white skin part is always over the corner of his eye. The main problem is no vet has suggested doing anything about his missing eye, even though he's always tearing and getting all crusty there. He loves scratches there because it must be really itchy. Is there anyone who has a cat with a missing eye? Did the vet sew that area? What do you suggest?
