2024.11.29 16:37 shane_productions I have a a6600, looking for a new “A cam” for my films for my should i get a a6700 or Fx30

So just a little bit of background on me: I’m a student filmmaker who I’d believe is in between beginne/intermediate level of experience. These are the two best options I’ve come up with on my budget of around 2k. I definitely want to upgrade my kit and have the 4K 60/4K 120 fps option, but I’m unsure of which one of these two to go with. I pretty much know my a6600 inside and out so I don’t think jumping to the 6700 would be a big leap. On the other hand, I’ve also worked with an FX3 this past summer during a film job I had so I wouldn’t say I’d be too unfamiliar using an FX30 since they pretty much have the same body. I just want to take my films to the next level even if it’s just a level or two up instead of a huge upgrade like jumping to an FX3 or A7siii… (my wallet says no) plus I have a bunch of APS-C lenses for my 6600 and I definitely do not have the budget to upgrade to full frame anytime soon so for the time being, I think sticking to APS-C would be my best choice. Any thoughts?

I ordered from them on November 19th and the product has not shipped (with Purolator) yet, and they have also ignored 5+ emails I've sent since then asking what is going on...
Not sure if they're selective scamming at this point or if the courier they chose is just inundated with pick ups and other issues and literally hasn't been able to simply pick up and scan a parcel that has been sitting in a Purolator drop box for 9 or 10 days now... but the lack of response is concerning.
If anyone has any intel on what is going on, please let me know.

Natürlich ist das für Studienfach und so individuell aber ich schreibe aktuell nur jeden Tag circa 1 Stunde dran und das fühlt sich für mich so wenig an. Brauche nur mal so einen groben Richtwert ob es auch Leute gibt immer nur 1 Stunde geschrieben haben oder ob alle jeden Tag 5 Stunden dran gesessen haben.😊

I’m just frustrated. My husband and I have been considering moving about 3-4 hours away from our hometown where our friends and family are. We’re reconsidering now that we have a nephew whose life we want to be involved in, and we want to start our family soon too. Everyone who I talk to is like “it’s only 3-4 hours away, that’s nothing, you can still come back all the time and be involved, blah blah blah.” But nobody seems to understand how limiting narcolepsy is on driving and traveling. I know some people don’t struggle with this as much, but I am not adequately medicated to drive myself any length of time. Of course the hope is that I’ll get there one day, but there’s no guarantee, plus I’ll presumably be unmedicated while pregnant and nursing. It just seems like I have this huge limiting factor that affects me every day of my life and is a big consideration on this move, and nobody understands other than my husband, who of course doesn’t get it because he hasn’t experienced it, but he gets it enough. I feel so inadequate when people are like “this isn’t a big deal” and I’m like dude, you have no idea. I’ve been diagnosed with N2 for like a year and a half and still feel almost like I have imposter syndrome. Like everyone is this tired and I’m just too weak to handle it. I know all the logical reasons why that isn’t true, but the feelings still creep up.
Anyways, if you’re still reading, thanks for listening. I’ll work through it but it always helps to know you’re not alone in the struggles.
