2024.11.29 16:37 venusianhorizon Adding green colour corrector to foundation to get a better colour match: Is this a good sign you might be olive?
Like a lot of people here, I've always struggled to find a good colour match in foundation. I'm pretty sure my undertones are warm in some way, and muted. The best colour match I've found so far (I haven't experimented much) is taking a peachy warm foundation at the right depth for me, and adding a generous amount of green colour correcting concealer to it. More specifically, I use the Glossier Stretch Fluid Foundation in Very Light 4 with the Elf Camo Corrector in Green. I'll attach a picture in the comments of what this looks like.
My knowledge of colour theory is limited, but I know peach is a mixture of red/pink and yellow. Green is on the opposite side of the colour wheel to red, so it neutralises red when added to it (red + green make brown).
Is adding green to my foundation making it an olive toned foundation, or is it neutralising the pink in it to make it a muted yellow toned foundation?
Is it a pretty reliable test that if your foundation matches you better with more green in, you have green/olive undertones? Or is it dependant on other factors, like what colour the foundation is to start with, or how much green pigment is added?
I'd be interested in people with more knowledge of colour theory than me weighing in! And also those of you who find good matches in non-olive foundations mixed with other colours.

2024.11.29 16:37 Narsifectionist Boots need a rework
Triple jump boots are useless as large majority of the cast has a way to get vertical. Niche on like 2-3 characters.
Meditation forces you to stand still to get the effect. Mana is a non issue in this game 95% of the time, and if your low on mana in combat the last thing you want to do is stand still.
Soul drain boots are BIS simply because they effect combat far more than the other two boots. An extra 150 health can be clutch.
What I'd like to see:
Soul drain boots : The stomping time of boots is reduced by 25%/50%
Meditation > Initiation : After X amount of seconds moving / distance traveled, gain X amount of Mana on your next skill cast / auto attack and reduce that CD by .5 / 1 second
Triple Jump > Frog Legs : Dash distance is increased by X amount. (If unfeasible, give me boots that effect my passive glider speed.)
I think boots should have an equally strong influence as items rather than being an afterthought, as well as something that makes players think about how they want to modify their character.
A .5 / 1 CDR is strong asf on character that like to initiate/ dash in, but it also promotes a super aggressive playstyle and if your enemy is stomping you out before your team can even get to you, it may be better to play something safer.
Other options like Armored boots that give extra stacks of armor, healing boots that heal off of movement would be nice as well.
Just my 2 cents.
