2024.11.29 17:31 hypochondriac-hoot Parilya - Worst restaurant experience of my life
Nov 29 went in for dinner at Parilya around 8pm. The place was not full, only a few tables were occupied and it had that weird restaurant smell where you can tell they didn’t clean properly. 1st red flag
Ordered food, the waitress wrote it down on piece of tissue instead of paper. 2nd red flag.
Fireworks started outside. The employees screamed and most of them ran outside to watch the fireworks instead of working, including people from the kitchen. They were outside for awhile. 3rd red flag.
After the fireworks ended, christmas carolers went in, started singing and then solicited us for money. 4th red flag.
More than 30mins later, the buko juice I ordered still didn’t come, and not a single dish had been served. The place was noisy from all the carolling. I don’t mean young kids off the street, I mean a whole carolling group with tambourines and guitar. We couldn’t have a proper conversation the entire time.
A waitress approached our table to let us know that kitchen was closing and they were taking last orders, clearly not noticing that there was no food on our table. I complained to her that not even my drink was served.
A few minutes later, the waitress who took our order then told us that they “lost” our order, “wala na punch” and so nothing was cooked. Probably lost the tissue while she was busy watching the fireworks.
So we walked out. Didn’t pay for the 1 beer they served, but left the 50pesos in the envelope for the carolers, so they can fight with them for that.

- run over to the left side of the building and climb the ladder to the roof.
- run to the right side, pull out a weapon and lean to the right in order to see the ledges of the windows.
- find the open window, line yourself up above it, then put your back to the edge of the building and very slowly walk backwards until you fall down.
- spam ledge grab and pray you climb in the window. it may take multiple attempts.

At first glance, I had originally thought it may be from my neighbors, since the wife is Swedish. A few years ago after her husband died, her brother moved in with her, and he doesn't speak any English, so I thought maybe she was teaching him. But Google says "kurdish detected" so now I'm not so sure. Hoy por mi trabajo estuve leyendo cientos de informes de accidentes laborales, y me sorprendió la cantidad inmensa de casos donde los alumnos golpean con combos, patadas o hasta lanzan muebles a profesoras/directoras/asistentes de la educación (hablo en femenino porque en su mayoría eran mujeres). Los casos básicamente se dividen entre alumnos flaites y alumnos TEA, que explotan y se agarran a combos o quieren agredir a todo el mundo, y el personal educativo es el mayor afectado al tener que ser quien lidia con eso.
Lo peor es que vivo en una zona tranquila, imagino que en otros lados debe ser aún peor.
Qué se debería hacer para terminar con esto? Me parece totalmente inaceptable y desagradable tener que estar pasando por eso en tu trabajo
