The best I ever got throughout my practice even the day before the exam was around 7.5. The college I am applying to required a 7.5 band across all 4 sections and from other's experience I always felt I wouldn't make the 7.5 mark. But during the test, I did not think about my performance at all. I just wrote down all the points I would make across the different paragraphs and that was it. In terms of practice outside of mock tests, I only ever practiced writing. Other than that I simply went through the reading, listening and speaking section of the guide provided by idp ielts as you register for the exam and some youtube videos on the Ielts advantage channel(love that guy).  | Hey there, just wondering if anyone has recommendations for a maul. I heat with a wood stove in central KS, with trees I cut down in my yard. Moved here last winter and just bought a Kobalt 8lb maul at the same time to get me through, but due to some overstrikes with a wedge, the plastic on the handle is breaking and the fiberglass is exposed so I’m ready to buy another, nicer maul now. I’d like one with a wooden handle because I’ve heard that you feel less of the strike in your hands with a wood handle. I also have a problem of the head of the maul getting stuck in the wood without splitting the wood, especially on bigger pieces that take a few strikes to split, I have to physically pull it out of the log every swing, so maybe one with more aggressive cheeks? My thumb was struck by a hard and fast object at work. I can barely bend at the joints but I can move it. It has swelled up even more since the pictures and is a decent blue hue if it doesn't come a across in pics. Thumb is mostly numb feeling and my index is slight numb toward the finger tip. Peers say it a bone bruise. Should I seek medical attention or wait it out? 3rd picture is other thumb for reference.

Hi everyone! It's my first time posting here, so let me know if this question isn't allowed.
I'm about to come into some money. Not a lot, but enough that I'd like to invest some of it into something that will bring in more money on the side.
When I was a kid I wanted to be a fashion designer. In my free time I doodle designs, but I've never done anything with them before.
My idea was to partner with an apparel production company to make the clothes based on my designs. Then I'd like to sell them online. As far as promoting the business, I was thinking of attending local fashion events/expos with some samples of the fashion line. I also know people in the fashion world who could possibly help (I used to model, so I know a few photographers, other models, designers, event coordinators, etc...)
Does anyone have experience starting their own fashion line? Does this sound like a good plan? Or am I just kidding myself?
