Almost flunked my chem exam because I did get enough time to review my organic notes. Couldn't recall a single reagent or mechanism AT ALL (the only times I'm thankful for the existence of physical and inorganic chem really, saved me from failing) how tf are you supposed to REMEMBER organic??? Hello!
We are an ARMA unit with a variety of people based around Europe (plus one very unhinged australian) which has been around since 2018. We host a variety of missions, events, and operations, mostly modern-day, but WW2, cold war and even some slightly futuristic settings are not uncommon either. Smaller one-time events like halloween or christmas specials usually include SCP, Warhammer Fantasy, Jurassic Park, or other scuffed ideas that emerge from the warped minds of our mission makers.
Some basic info:
Missions/ Events & Operations start at 20:00 CET and last normally around 1,5 - 2 hours.
The days we host missions are:
Wednesday - Our main Arma event day, with a more serious approach to it. Usually has the highest attendance.
Saturday - Way more laid back, smaller scale type of missions, with a bit more whacky setting. As of the time of writing, the current modpack is Fallout. Two weeks ago someone gave the Polish guy a mini nuke launcher and nothing has been the same since.
Why you should join I hear you ask? Well, it's fun.
We are kind of a smaller, tight knit community who do other games together outside of Arma. We do IRL meetups and all that jazz as well. Don't let that put you off tho, we do not gatekeep, we like having new peeps around.
While we are not really big on the milsim part of Arma, it is highly encouraged to not give the squad leads and zeuses a headache by ignoring them when they tell you to do something. Generally, being a dickhead is frowned upon. We also host a bunch of grumpy 30 year olds (me included) who absolutely cannot be bothered with any sort of drama, so thats a plus I guess.
If you are new to Arma, then we will teach you the basics, including Ace functions. If you are not new to Arma, we will probably not be able to teach you anything. The value of friendship maybe.
As a last note - as mentioned before, we do not do milsim. If you are looking for a proper milsim experince, then we are not it. If you are however looking for just a bunch of guys and gals you can hang out with while playing some Arma, then we are indeed it.

It forces me to have to build an entire deck around facing mega knight instead of being able to play something that’s fun. Hello guys, I want to buy a controller exclusively for pc gaming since I don’t own a console, but I’m unsure which one is the best. I’ve been a keyboard player my whole life, and the few times I did use a controller, it was either for the playstation 2 or 3.
Some of the games I want to play with controller include Telltale’s TWD, Detroit Become Human, RDR2, Outer Wilds, No Man’s Sky, some Lego games and a few others in that same ballpark. As you can see I won’t be doing a lot of fps shooting, so I was wondering if I should just pull out my old ps3 controller, or if it’s really better to buy a whole one.
To be honest, I don’t really know how newer controllers (like the ps5) differ from older models, which is why I could really use some help from you guys.
In your opinion, what is the best controller for pc gaming?

2024.11.29 17:47 GJ72 God Mode in Steam version of SS2?
Though I have the original version on CD, my computers are too modern for it to run on. So, I bought, downloaded and installed the version through Steam. However, I'm finding that God Mode doesn't seem to work. I tried the "undead" in the console window. I tried adding a user.cfg file with undead to the SS2 folder in Steam. I tried both together. Nothing works.
Has anyone with the Steam version of the game figured out how to enable God Mode for the game?
And please don't rag on me for wanting to use God Mode. I don't usually do so, but sometimes I do just for fun.

If you right click the game in your steam library and go to properties -> betas, you can select "Beta" in the dropdown menu.
We will publish everything we are working on to that branch as quickly as possible. So you might get near to daily updates in a busy week. They also sometimes might introduce a new problem, but then you tell us and we fix it!
If you are less adventurous, we plan to push the changes in the beta branch to the main game every monday whenever it makes sense.
