Just curious if anyone else had a mysteriously disappearing turkey this year.
I got a 14.5 lb Butterball turkey for 10 people, 3 of whom were 10 or under and only ate bread and whipped cream (voraciously. 3 kids with spoons can clear out a bowl of leftover whipped cream rather effectively).
I'd asked my friend to grab a platter for my husband because my hands were full, and she grabbed the little Easter one - which is fine, but I figured it would be comically piled high with meat is it's only slightly bigger than a dinner plate.
He carved everything but the wings and I saw the carcass cast aside - it was pretty sparkly-clean. The platter was NOT piled high at all. Frankly, it was almost an "uh oh" moment. Fortunately, we had an abundance of sides and everyone was absolutely stuffed to the gills, but we effectvily wiped out a 14 lb turkey between 8 diners.
Anyone else's 14 lb Butterball look suspiciously tiny after roasting?

To commemorate the craziness of shopping on black friday, let's talk about crazy stories involving Ravencoin and cryptos in general.
First story is the first time I talked to a relative about me mining on my computer while it is idle. My relative made big eyes and said "You are stuck in these schemes too ! You are crazy !". It took me some time to realize that it was not about mining but someone who bought crypto expecting it to increase in value but it went the other way. Nonetheless, that relative did not speak to me since and it's been a few years already.
Second story. I was talking to a friend from high school days when I said that I was mining crypto. He asked me how many I had accumulated and I said 3 or 4 thousand. You should have seen his eyes grow big and the shark smile..... You know how some people assume that all crypto are Bitcoins ? You can imagine how sad he became when the "friend" was told the value of my wallet was $100 instead of $100,000,000. I still have mixed feelings about talking cryptos with random people. Friends are even scarier :-p
This week I challenge you to share some crazy stories involving Ravencoin and/or Cryptocurrencies in general. Remember that the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre was conceived by a customer shopping during a black friday sale....

I’m playing awakening (first time I’m playing FE btw) and just maxed out robin so thought now was a good time to use my second seal and then my master seal but then my levels reset and I can only use bronze weapons and no spells🤓.
What should I do next time? Like what’s a better strategy and approach to reclassing characters?

Looking for help 100%ing all zombies everything (games, maps, easter eggs, achievements, levels, weapons, farming, etc) on Xbox Series X. I have a great tv, audio, mic, storage, etc set up. I was a proficient zombies player WaW-BO3 (Xbox 360), but just got my setup/Xbox Series X and am not used to the new zombies style yet. As mentioned I’m looking to 100% every zombies everything, but beyond that am just looking to get the full zombies experience and play through, so having help doing anything/everything from simply high-rounding and fully exploring/experiencing everything in WaW Nacht to super easter eggs in the new games would be great. If you can help with literally anything feel free to drop your gamertag or whatever and we can set something up, you don’t have to commit to 100% every zombies everything, just help with any individual piece would be awesome. Looking to upgrade my son’s PC. The following is the machine he is running with the exception of we doubled the Ram listed, has an actual sound card and external HD for storage.
I was thinking something small like a gtx 3050 card to help play newer games but not sure if that would be best or even usable with other current parts.

My brother is 63.5 years old, makes 38k a year, and is single. He is finding it hard to get by and has borrowed money from me numerous times. Between rent, auto costs, food, electric, heat. . . it's tough. He is in the process of applying for SS and taking the earnings limit hit knowing he won't get anything until around May. I'm not sure that it's a bad idea since everything he loses is recalculated and will increase his payment (now $1310) at FRA.
Am I missing something? Also he doesnt' think he'll make it past early 70's due to family history and his own medical issues.

2024.11.29 17:50 11coronationst Landlord Can't Change Apt Locks...but CAN Deactivate FOB Key?
My friend is 3 months late on paying rent, she is unemployed living in Kitchener. I visited her today as I am driving her to a few job interviews. The landlord knocked on her door while I was there asking when rent will be paid. My friend explained her situation. Landlord told her the building has the right to deactivate the FOB keys to get in the building if rent is not paid on time again. I didn't think anything of it but in hindsight, I don't think the landlord should have said that.
Through my own research (aka Google, lol), I know that a landlord cannot change the locks. But apparently FOB keys to get in a building are a different story? I sent an email to the Ontario LTB as well on behalf of my friend. How is she supposed to get inside herr unit if she can't get in the building?
Obviously the solution is for her to pay the rent on time, but can anyone shed some light on this before I hear back from the LTB - can a building deactivate FOB keys for a non-paying/late-paying tenant?
