I curse my mom for putting me in cadets, because it got me into high end dress shoes.
I've been wanting to buy a couple of pairs of GYW dress shoes for a while now. I'm a student (1st year Masters, so hopefully only another year and a half). So money is limited (I do live at home though, so my expenses are minimal, thus am willing to pay a little more).
What are some of the cheaper brands out there that are still decent quality (Like no more than $700, preferably $600)? My thinking was to buy a couple beginner pairs now (one black and one brown or oxblood/mahogany), and then upgrade once I finish school and (hopefully haha) get a job. Although I would like to where the beginner shoes longer after I'm done school.
I wear dress shoes at least once a week. So they will be well worn.
My instinct is just buy AEs, but with what I've heard about quality, I'm a little hesitant. It seems clear that they're not what they use to be (like most things these days), but are they really that bad compared to other brands of the same price? In other words, as someone who is too young to have experienced the old AE and only just getting into high end dress shoes, will I be able to tell they're supposedly mediocre?
Also, when do brands usually have their big annual/semiannual sales?

My steam deck LCD has a strange glitch. Everything’s seems to work fine. If I try and install Ratchet and Clank, it seems specially this game, everything becomes unresponsive. I can navigate button no buttons or actions work. I have to hold the power down to force a shut down and then boot back up. Everything works again until I try to install this game?’
I’m usually pretty good at problem solving but this one has stumped me.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Kinda gross probably, but I've been using the same cream blush (Canmake Cream Cheek) on and off for around 3 years now. I've been trying to pan it but it just seems to keep going forever.
As far as I can tell, it's performing the same as it did when I first got it. No changes in smell or texture, and it hasn't been causing any adverse skin reactions. I also don't apply it anywhere close to my eyes or mouth, just dab it into my cheekbones.
I really want to pan the thing, but I feel like that will take a decade. Is it time to throw this thing out?

Hey all, Apologies if this isn't the kindo thing to ask here, but in the aftermath of the "call a general election" petition, some of the weirdness I've seen makes it look like botting occurred, and I think I've identified how, but would have to, yknow, actually try to bot the site to verify it.
I currently live in wales, but my home address is in england.
I was thinking of making a ridiculous petition (I.e recognise mice and dolphins as more intelligent than humans) to see if it works.
Would that:
A) Be illegal
B) Be likely to get me into trouble (because I know that can sometimes be different from the letter of the law).
C) affect any future potential of government work (my field is very government involved).
