2024.11.29 18:51 NumerousPicture3681 AITAH for not stopping myself from collapsing at a concert?
I (19F) and in a university choir and was really recently diagnosed with vertigo. As a result, I transiently get really dizzy and will lose my balance and fall to the side and then struggle to get up without falling over, even if all I was doing before was just standing there. My regular conductor has been really nice about me being dizzy but we had a guest conductor for this concert who showed up during rehearsals the week before.
The regular conductor has always been nice about letting me sit and have an easy exit if I feel like I'm really going to fall over but the new one did new staging where I was right in the middle of things, so it'd be really obvious if I sat down or tried to leave (she put my whole section in the middle so it was hard to move me without moving them all too). I'm a bit afraid of the guest conductor but he's kind of shouty so I had asked the regular one to tell him about my vertigo and if I could maybe have a stool or something on the riser.
She said she'd ask him and I don't know what happened but the night before the concert I confirmed with her again and she said that he said it'd be okay and they'd move me to the edge and give me a chair. The day of the concert, I showed up and I went up to him and asked him about the spots and he yelled that there was no new position nor a chair because it made it the staging look 'tacky.' He told me he thought I could willpower my way through the concert and be fine.
If I didn't like the songs we were singing I honestly probably would've just left at that point because I was already feeling awful but I wanted to stay, so I did the concert and it was a miserable experience. I felt so unfocused and like the world was spinning. Normally singing while sitting doesn't bother me but doing it standing up was terrible.
Here's where I think I'm at fault, because then as we were walking out I collapsed and really struggled to get back up. It ended up being a whole thing where people were worried I'd passed out and needed to help me walk. I feel really badly for inconveniencing a bunch of other people.
I feel like ideally I could've just not attended this concert because I was having episodes leading up to it, but I didn't want to let anybody down. I also feel like maybe I could've stood up to the guest conductor better. I'm just really worried everybody hates me now because instead of the post-concert being lots of fun interacting with everybody's families, a ton of people were just worried about me. AITA?

 | Dear all, Please help me choosing one of 2 evos. I wonder what would be more useful for my striker. I play 4-1-2-1-2 (2) with 2 strikers, with Le Bihan as advanced forward. The playstyles are the same with both evos. I think that physical would be better for him, as I like to fight with opponents defence, but passing could help with scoring from free kicks and passess to my shadow striker or other ST. And physical would be better for my CM. 2024.11.29 18:51 bmcnal84 Eligible consolidation loan standard repayment?
My situation - standard repayment on a consolidation loan is roughly 20 year term. But I’ve called and asked if I could voluntarily be put on a 10 year repayment plan instead and been told by MOHELA it’s possible. Per the PLSF application -
“The Standard Repayment Plan for Direct Consolidation Loans made on or after July 1, 2006, has repayment periods that range from 10 to 30 years. Monthly payments you make under this plan are eligible payments for PSLF only if the repayment period is 10 years”
I’m only too eligible payments away from being done. I already have an application in for IBR, but like everyone else no movement. Buyback seems totally defunct and a waste of time.
Has anyone tried this? Switched to a standard repayment plan for consolidation loan 10 year terms and are having payments counted on the tracker?

I forgot when I recorded this, but I'm sure this was earlier this 2024 but this has to be my favourite random encounter in Fallout 76.
I lost my pet suddenly last year and it left a hole in my heart, we may not have holotapes or dog Protectrons, but this random encounter gave me some closure and that my girl, Appa, will always be with me.
I discovered Fallout 76 last year, and I always had Appa beside me while I played, when Appa grew, she often stayed under my desk or on my bed while I played, and I would talk to her by making up stories that we were exploring Appalachia together.
It may sound silly to some but this random encounter has warmed my heart and will always be special to me.

I'm a Newfoundlander and my family has been here for generations. We still have a more obvious celtic influence on our culture and speech, and it seems like we have to act more Americanised in order to get taken seriously.
We got economically completely screwed over by Britain and they pushed us to join Canada. We joined Canada in 1949, and we're still a poor province. Not only are we poor and struggle to provide services for our people, we're the laughing stock of Canada.
Even one of my own friends who's originally from mainland Canada has openly mocked my culture, calling us stupid and ugly.
Also, growing up, I always got corrected if I dared to speak Newfoundland English.

 | I live in the far NW corner of the San Fernando Valley in SoCal. We had a long, hot summer with temps regularly over 100deg and night temps in the 80-90's. My dragon fruit finally flowered for the first time in mid August, the flowers opened around the first week of Sept., and 2 fruits set. It's been 2.5 mos and the day temps are in the high 60s, with ight temps in the mid to high 40s. My two fruits (#1, pics 1, 2, 3; #2, pics 3, 4, 5) are still green and firmly attached to the plant, although I can wiggle them slightly.
