I feel bad, I know a lot of people wish they had more family, but I feel like I have too much. To be honest I dont feel close with my family or my partners. Going into any holiday it just feels like a bunch of obligations but I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings, I am just introverted and really value alone time and peaceful time. I have 6 nieces/nephews and I find kids exhausting. I have a family dinner every week. I often feel like saying no to things but always feel like I need a valid excuse. I don’t want to do the gift exchanges and hours of small talk… I just don’t know what to do, is there a way to establish more space with people without offending?

Hi! I have a daughter who turned 2 a couple months ago. She loves ripping around on her balance bike and we spend a lot of time at the skate park / pump track in town. I would like to have her try the BMX racing in the spring in the balance bike category, and I read that she will be required to wear a full face helmet if she wants to try that. Given she will eventually need one, and how she seems to want to do more and more and the skate park, we got her this helmet.
I am pretty certain the size is right, since her regular Giro scamp bike helmet is size XS (45-49cm), and I still need to tighten it up, and the full face helmet (size XS) is measured for 48-51cm. However, when I try to put it on her, it feels like I will need to shove it on to get her head to get past the padding at the bottom. After starting to try, my daughter goes "no no no" as she obviously doesn't like me pushing the helmet down on her. We still haven't gotten her to fully try it on yet..
Is this normal? Should it always be a tight squeeze to get it on? Are there tips on how to properly put it on to limit the sense of having to force it on her? I know the padding is supposed to squeeze in a bit on the cheeks, but just trying to figure out how to put it on properly.

Hi, everyone! I’m looking forward to buying a VW New Beatle and I’ve seen horrible reviews on this subreddit BUT they’re all from Americans. Is the New Beatle manufactured and sold here in Europe just as bad? The repair cost should be way smaller because we have a larger parts market is larger. But what about everything else?
To be specific, I’m looking into 1998-2011 simply because I like the look. Maybe a convertible but probably not, because they come mostly is soft tops and Baltics can have very cold and snowy conditions.
