2024.11.29 18:37 MattGCox Non-meta 5e/PF2e game.
I mostly play d100 horror games where you are an average dude who only gets marginally better at a skill during the game. Over the past year I played a few PF2e adventures and I think I annoyed my companions when I played my character like an average schlep who used the skills he had to do what he could. Meanwhile my companions meta gamed and built/leveled up their characters in a group think tank constructing the party most capable of carnage. Or, was it natural development within this world that when you go a-heroing the PC knows they will improve and get new skills. (Lots of adventure stories at the tavern have taught the PC that “blank” will happen.) The big question: is there a 5e/PF2e equivalent where the PC doesn’t become a nearly impenetrable hero able to slay anything and the leveling up process is either arbitrary or incremental and clear choices can’t be made. I know some of this is already cooked into the game but I don’t like how a recall knowledge check about the big bad will guide you on your progression choices. Thanks.

Hi All! This may be a silly question. I would like to know the average fees (%) for recruitment (perm placement) for IT (more senior exec roles).
I have searched the internet and the fees for permanent placement in the USA/Canada are around 20%. Fee (%) is calculated on the basis of the annual gross income agreed with the candidate.
Is this information correct? Is it a reality that applies to the current market? I know there have been some serious changes over the years for IT/software. Thank you!

I have a niche channel that focuses on restoring and archiving old DJ mixtapes. I’ve been doing this since 2021. Initially I was uploading a new video every day. I did that for about 2 years until it became too much work and settled into posting videos every M/W/F. My channel was growing pretty well. I was getting between 100 - 200 subs a week and my videos were averaging close to 1000 views in a day (which is a lot for me).
This was consistent for a few years up until about 5 months ago. Then suddenly my views dropped by about 75% and my new subscribers slowed to about 50 a week.
Then about two weeks ago Youtube emailed me saying they were limiting some of the more powerful features like pinning comments and adding external links to my descriptions because my channel “doesn’t have sufficient channel history”. My channel is over 15 years old and I only post electronic music - nothing else. I’ve got over 1000 videos on my channel currently and its not monetized.
Does anyone know what happened? Why did everything change suddenly?
