Hi everyone just seeking some advice if someone in AZ (Yavapai County) took a plea deal, then filed a Post-Conviction Relief (PCR) but that was denied in 2022 is it too late to file an appeal for that denial of the PCR? This person was initially charged with 4 counts aggravated assault with a deadly weapon along with some other charges, discharge fire arms non residence, firearms in city limits and disorderly conduct. However they took a plea deal their charges went ftom aggravated assault with deadly weapon to 4 counts of attempted 1st degree murder of a police officer along with the other charges. Can anyone advise how that happens, or why that may have happened regarding the charges changing?
There's a lot of information but this person had a mental breakdown down, they were on drugs, they got into fight with their mom at home so they left their house to cool off and was walking in their neighborhood to clear their head. They were not in the right state of mind and very emotionally distraught, feeling suicidal. As they were walking they were seen by police patrolling the neighborhood who tried to pull them over, they were dressed in all black but this was normal for them, not sure if this was why they tried to pull him over. Because he was under the influence and upset he didn't want to talk. However police kept pushing and followed him into a park that he tried to cut through, a park that happened to be closed. Because the park was technically closed the police were able to then pull him over for trespassing in a closed park (they followed him in), however he resisted and asked to be left alone. He made a remark to the police as they were walking away when the police told him he needs to stop resisting he stated "well were going to have a shoot out then." Again he was feeling suicidal and was thinking he could die by police. After stating this he began to run, police tried tazing him to stop him but it didn't catch, police then shot at him hitting him in the arm and leg. He was carrying a weapon and shot twice in the air as he was running away from the police, during this time backup police arrived and the back up squad ran him over to completely stop him where he was placed unconscious and went to hospital.
We found records recently where one of the police officers involved stated on record that he (my friend) shot only 2x in the air, not at police. However the other police involved stated he shot 4x at/toward them which is not factual. Evidence shows only two shell casings were found and he had 4 rounds still in chamber (it was a six round chamber). No damage to either police vehicle involved from bullets. The only damage to the vehicle was from running over my friend. The police claimed there was no video footage (dash cam/body cam) which is very suspicious when two police vehicles/4 police officers were there. There was no intent to murder anyone this was someone who's father died the year prior who spiraled out of control that night his mom told him he was the reason his father died although he died from cancer this triggered a mental health breakdownas they were extremely close to yheir father, they jad a lot of built up pain, to add to someone who was under the influence and not logical. They took two mental health test one came back competent, one (Neurological exam) came back they were not in their right mind capacity. They had undiagnosed bipolar-depression where they are now getting mental health treatment for while incarcerated. They have served 8 years so far and are sentenced to 2038. I appreciate any feedback, thank you so much. If you are able to help in AZ we are seeking legal help and seeking to retain a lawyer.

Hello all I (f18) am having a bit of a hard time thinking of a way to formally write an email to my manager to let him know I want my days reduced. I work in retail and my job is an early morning job starting at 5am it is a very manual job and tiresome but I like what I do. My issue is the way they take advantage of myself and my friend because we are the youngest. Everyone in my department are given the same finishing time except for us. I have the same contract as half of the department yet I am the only one with different amount of shifts and finishing times nearly every week. Some weeks I will have some shifts finishing at 9am others 10am or 10:30 others 11 and honestly it is taking a toll just because I know I am being treated different to everyone else. I have a young dog at home which is one of the reasons I like the time I work at, it’s convenient for not leaving her home by herself too long. I also live around 20 minutes away from my work so sometimes it seems very pointless to wake up and drive all that way just for a 4 hour shift and fuel is expensive!!! I would like to from now on have a 4 day work week with the same finishing time, like the rest of the staff who have the same contract as me but I feel like they are not gonna take me seriously asking because I don’t have a “viable” reason. I wonder if anyone has any ideas on what I could write in my email to help!!
