2024.11.29 18:35 Moronix How to use my own router in place of the one provided by ISP?
We moved into a house earlier this year, and we were able to get fiber internet. However, they hooked up their own router (I believe it's a routemodem combo) when they installed it, and I don't have any way of logging into said router to change settings. And plugging my router into the fiber box results in no internet. So I've been using our router as an access point instead.
It's been bugging me for months that I have to have two things plugged in that should do the same thing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I shouldn't need a modem for fiber internet. I've called and asked several times if we can use our own router, but I've always gotten the same short and unhelpful answer: "I don't know if you can do that." I get the impression that the people I've reached know very little about the configuration.
I've tried cloning the MAC address of their router, but that didn't solve it. Is there anything I can/should try that may help me eliminate their router from the equation? Thank you in advance for the help.

I made a post a while ago asking what the point of Leagues was and got a resounding answer of 'for fun', so I decided to set one goal as a stupid joke: 99 Fishing. That was the only goal I've set for Leagues. Problem is I didn't know the XP multiplier was that high, so I'm already 2mil XP and 78 fishing deep. I'm now realizing I'm going to hit 99 Fishing WAY sooner than I thought at this pace and have no idea what to aim for. Any suggestions for what I should make as a goal?

New fursuiter here, I've got like, the basics (a brush and balaclava to keep sweat out), but I wanna have some fursuit spray (preferably cotton candy scented if possible) and other things (probably a bag or something instead of the box it was shipped in) to help keep it clean since it's just gonna be sitting in my closet 99% of the time, and I wanna know where I should get some. I’m not doing good.
For work related stress several months ago I posted on Reddit how I was feeling and I went to a crisis center in Berlin to get help.
This time it’s much worse.
Long story short, I’m on the 13th day in a row working without a day off. I’m doing this to finish a project (website redesign). I haven’t been told to do this, I choose do it because I have to.
My deadline is Monday.
Last week it was final round of feedback from the leadership team. The COO who just returned after over a year away (maternity leave) clearly doesn’t like the results and is bombarding me with native feedback and criticism and changes.
I’ve been told lately this is to do with her being in charge of the old site (which people don’t like hence the change). Her sister also designed the old site so believe.
Anyway, the deadline is Monday and now she’s addressing her concerns directly to me on teams (in conjunction with the feedback tool she uses).
I’ve been very polite and accommodating but the hard deadline needs to be met and we can adjust based on her feedback before hard launch in January. (We go live without promotion on Monday).
But she essentially hates the whole site (I can was between the lines).
Now I have planned to finish everything off at the weekend and part of Monday.
But she’s also looking at ways to be more efficient in the company, so I’m quite sure I will lose my job over this - and last time it took me a year to find work and it put me in a lot of debt.
The worst part is, we sign a contact for my daughter to attend her first year of a bilingual school in the city. And if I lose my job, she will lose her place.
I have no being feeling good for some time due to the pressure of work, the long hours and so on.
It’s all coming to a head right now and I want to just escape and go away. I don’t want to see or experience what is coming. I do not have the strength.
This time I can’t call the crisis center because this is much worse.
I feel this is my only way out now, I’m cornered and boxed in.

Runs fine in semi but when in super safe it doesn’t reset the trigger. It cycles perfectly in dry fire but will not run when shooting. All I can think is that it’s outrunning the bcg?
