As the title states, I transitioned to a 1099 role as it provided me with a much higher commission rate and helped the company with their cash flow (it’s a small company). Fast forward a few months and I’m getting deep into interviewing for a new sales role at another company and I haven’t disclosed this arrangement yet since I’m effectively still doing the same job with the same company…only my compensation has changed. Does it make sense for me to bring this up in an upcoming interview? I’m concerned about a background check showing I’m no longer with the company which I suppose is technically true but not practically true. I don’t want to come across as hiding something, but also not sure if it’s really their business either. How should I handle? Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated!

I’m the “service manager” at my shop, although the owner delegates all associated responsibilities to himself, leaving me really powerless to set policy or handle staffing issues. The only real associated responsibility that is delegated to me is checking all new bike sales and repairs for service.
I’ve had issues with this particular coworker a few times over the years. He tends to be the kind of person who shuts down discussions and deflects when confronted with something. This past week, he built an entry level mountain bike that went out without being checked by me. The next day, the customer brought the bike back because it was shifting over the largest cog and getting caught between the spokes. I saw that the low limit hadn’t been adequately set. Other issues I found were calipers not being centered over the rotors, and no grease on the quick release threads. When I asked him about it this morning, he denied not having set the low limit and basically accused me of making stuff up.
As these issues keep arising, I’m kind of stuck in a position of how to address them with him. The owner doesn’t like involving himself with staff issues, leaving me feeling pretty powerless to push for change. Any tips?

From what I understand the new DCU will be divided in two chapters (the first one being Gods and Monsters) and planned for 8-10 years, with the idea of 2 movies and 2 series per year and the announced projects are not even half of the whole first chapter.
My question is what would be the films and series of the new DCU following the "2 films and 2 series per year" rule.

Was out and drinking heavily Wednesday night. Ended up bumping into a classmate who I’ve actually had a crush on for a bit. We talked for a bit then went our separate ways. Later, in my infinite drunken wisdom, I DM’d her my number and asked her on a date and she never answered.
Realized that was an awful idea the next morning and deleted everything. It said she didn’t view anything, but I did send an apology afterwards (which she also hasn’t answered). Going through an awful spiral of worst case scenarios (being labeled a creep, getting in trouble at school) and cant believe I was so dumb. Dreading going to class Monday and seeing her as well.
Tldr: Drunk DM’d classmate asking her on date and she never answered, no idea what she is thinking.
