So for the last 6 years since I've had AT&T the Internet continuously cuts out. The router (Arris BGW210) will randomly reset or so appears to (lights on the router turn off then turn back on blinking) and will take like 5 minutes for the Internet to come back online. Had the router replaced maybe 3 years ago for the same reason through AT&T customer service and they replaced the router but it gave the same issue. Unsure if AT&T just sucks in my area (I live in a large city) or overall but thinking of switching providers since this is a daily occurrence that happens about 5-7 times a day. I am connected to the router with an Ethernet cable as well. I have little to no experience with Internet services so I don't know what to do here. I pay 70USD for internet 24 stand alone (1500gb data allowance) which is also dreadfully slow for downloads and uploads, barely enough to keep two devices in the house streaming movies. Unsure if I should switch plans, providers, and how to solve this annoyance of the internet cutting out. I don't know much about anything internet related so any information/advice would help.

The world I'm crafting consists of terrifying emperor who possesses mech pilots and fuses them with their mechs to craft living monstrosities under his control. These monsters enforce the emperor's law in cities under his dominion.
Charpool
The main setting is Charpool, Monnland. A large Metropolitan area renowned for its innovation, military prowess, and terrible poverty. The people here are slaves of the almighty dollar. Those who make it by only do so through cutthroat means. But if your in the fields the only way out is death, or the military. So essentially also death.
Those lucky few scouted by the military to operate war machines like the renowned mech suits are set for life, but rarely live very long. In Charpool, you make it up the ladder, or you die at the bottom.
Mana Doppelganger's Core
In my world people operate electrical devices using mana instead of inputs like keyboards or dials. This allows near telekinetic control over these devices so long as someone inserts a Mana Doppelganger's Core. A devise specifically tied to a person by scanning their mana and storing the data within.
This practice actually predates electrical tools and was used as early as the 1400s. There were primitive tools called mana clamps that surrounded ones wrists and pulled mana into objects called tokens. Tokens could do very minor mental tricks. Basically someone could store a memory into a token and anyone else could glimpse this memory connecting themselves to the tokens via a mana clamp.
Other powers includes seeing through a token if you are blind. Some tokens allow people to harness the memories of the dead, though these are outlawed save for police forces.
Anyway the whole point of this magic system is to justify my mech controlling device in the future.
The concept I'm working on is mech pilots have their mana scanned during training to create a husk personality that is placed into a high powered Doppelganger's Core.
This device is tied to an individual and is how mechs are operated. They have the same personality as the pilot that was scanned, but they have no drive, desires, or needs. They simply exist.
When a pilot takes on the use of a mech they will operate the MDC as one might a wheel, but they are trained to use mana to create a shield between their hands and the device. For touching the device will actually connect the two personalities and the pilot will be pulled into the MDC with no way of escape. The body will remain fused to the orb as well.
This is normally a horrible thing, but there is one instance where this is encouraged.
When a pilot is considered talented enough, Mana Doppelganger Core will be made with the emperor's mana. Not some duplicate, but the mana of the emperor himself.
Then the pilot will directly touch the MDC and fuse with it permanently. Their mind and the emperor's becoming one. This allows the pilot to become part of the Royal Mech Divisions. Those mech pilots that serve to enforce loyalty from the citizenry instead of fight in the military.
This is considered a great honor, but what the pilots think isn't so clear, as they never speak again.

I am looking at a pioneer elite LX305 on sale for $599 and was wondering if he could use channels 8-9 to bi-amp his rear speakers to help out. I know this is not an ideal pairing but I’m trying to avoid him buying a $199 Yamaha and calling it a day.

 | Any general tips for Battle Royale players? Example: 1. Learn to jump after sliding to not accidentally crouch during heated battle; 2. Jump when reloading (can’t slide while loading); 3. Learn to do multiple slide shot for different angles (left/right and backward); 4. If you “hold” the Quick Strike ability class ability, it allow you to jump really far (replacing ninja or pump for going to high places); 5. You can take on a group of enemies alone if you take the high ground (better with stealth class like Ninja, Pump, Quick Strike or Airborne); 6. Practice your slide shots or general shots in BR Practice Ground at least once a day prior to entering a BR match to warm up (turn on bots to max speed, slide and circle movement for resemble sweat players); 7. Practice using hip fire for close combat w/ slide movement; 8. Go for the High-Tier loot area (the 2nd or 3rd closest one from jump are less competitive while the 1st closest one to jump will be swarmed with players). Avoid this advice and go for a normal loot area and farther away for less competition if playing with random squad who may not be as strong (having to revive them in a competitive area would be more of a liability); 9. After looting the first area, try to get a vehicle or helicopter and go get Custom Gun Drip fast—before the other squad get there; 10. Try to get max ammo on first loot zone, so that you can focus on getting the Custom Gun airdrop and Supply airdrop (the green one has the best mods and kinetic armour for late game); 11. After maxing for late game (custom guns, advance mods, full ammo)—try to secure high ground when the circle become very small. Be the first there to play defence and pick off incoming players); 12. Load up on grenades/cluster bombs/Nova gas, they are great for offensive late game when players are hiding behind rocks or in a building—you can sweat them out then gun them down when they run; 13. Do not fly a helicopter late game, once you have your custom guns and some mods upgrade, and when the circle is getting too small, abandon it (getting shot down at this point is a huge liability); 14. Top mods (personally for me) are Expanded Mags, Precision Shot (AR), Hip Shot (SMS), Long Range (ASMS). Fast ADS is less useful now that I have more situational awareness; 15. Try to spot the enemy first (higher chance of killing them) versus being chased/shot at and trying to locate them (higher chance of being killed). If being shot at, it’s better to run first to a distance and try to take a better angle; 16. - The surgeon quoted me $3765 for SARPE (treatment planning, x-rays etc) and $7500 for BSSO. The surgeries themselves and hospital stays would be covered by Ohip.
- Are those fees reasonable? Based on previous posts, ppl in Ontario say SARPE did not involve any fee that wasn't covered by Ohip.
- Is it important to always get a second opinion? My surgeon is one of the recommended ones on this sub and I feel like I trust him. I asked if any other cosmetic procedures could be done at the same time and he said he doesn't do cosmetic but this can be considered after all treatment with him. A chin advancement done at the time of jaw surgery can be considered although this will depend on pre-surgical workup.
- I have a formal event to attend 4 weeks after SARPE. Will there still be swelling or bruising? Liquid diet still or onto soft foods? Would I have any issues wearing a full face of makeup?

If you missed it, Peloton just released its Q3 2024 financial report and they got better than expected results — even though the revenue was lower than in Q1 2023, the net loss improved a lot (like 99%, tho). So good for them! Hopefully, this means a rebound after the issues they are dealing with lately.
For the newbies: A few years ago, Tread+ caused serious injuries to users, leading the Consumer Commission to label it as a safety risk. After this debacle, Peloton got sued and recently started to pay a $13.95M settlement to investors. Also, I just found out that they are accepting late claims, so you can still file to get payment even if the deadline has passed.
Fast forward to today, they already hired a new CEO (after months of searching), and the ex-Ford executive Peter Stern will begin working in January. Maybe this will mean the beginning of a new era for the company.
Anyways, has anyone here has $PTON? If so, are you still holding or how much were your losses on it?
