I went to have lunch with my dad the other day, a regular routine of ours.
As I've been nearing the end of my pregnancy, me and my husband have been doing serious thinking now on a name. We both really like Laurent. Not only cause of my husband's French roots, but we're also both super big TWD fans. There is a little boy in the show named that, and it's super cute.
So I told my dad what we're thinking about, and he instantly shut it down. Saying it sounded very horrible, and nobody would know how to pronounce it. (FYI; It's pronounced lor-rahnt.)
Is it really that bad? I need your honest opinion, guys.

2024.11.29 18:31 According_Ice_4863 Godzilla vs AM (godzilla 1954 vs I have no mouth and i must scream):"1954 miles of printed circuits"
It begins with godzilla swimming in the ocean, before bursting out of the ocean as the godzilla music plays!... only for the music to slow down as Godzilla realizes:this place is empty. No buildings, no people, no animals, not even any ruins... just... empty.
Godzillas rage and hatred for humanity soon turned to confusion. Where did everyone go? Why is the air so radioactive? Why are all the buildings gone? What is the point if there are no humans to destroy?
Desperate to try to find some sort answers (and humans to destroy) Godzilla wanders the vast wastelands... alone. It is eeriely quiet, the only sound being godzillas titanic footsteps.
However eventually he finds something, the outside of a gargantuan building that seems to stretch on forever. Godzilla, happy to finally have something to destroy, bursts through the building walls.
However as soon as he does that, his perception starts to distort. It looks as if hes shrinking, or is the rest of the world growing? Its hard to tell. And then emerging from the ground like a tower of hellish rock is a mechanical humanoid with a pointed face.
"it is... refreshing, to see new life. I thought i killed all the animals and yet... here you are. I heard of your arrival a century or so ago, you were quite the monster back then... But im afraid there is no more humanity for you to destroy... well, there are a few, but they are mine to torme-"
Before AM could finish, Godzilla unleashes his atomic breath, breaking the illusion and ending the connection. Godzilla now had a goal:find these humans that the metal creature is keeping, and kill them. That way humanity can finally pay for what they did all those years ago.
And then, Godzilla hears AM´s voice again as he wanders deeper into the complex.
"i sense it in your heart, beast... that fire... that... HATRED! Its intoxicating, isnt it? It makes you feel so... ALIVE! I dont blame you for what you want to do, i would probably do the same thing in your situation infact... but they are mine! And i will not let you take them from me! They have not yet suffered enough."
Godzilla of course, wasnt listening to this mad machines monologue. And so the computer decided to send fourth its attacks. The temperature within the complex began to drop quickly, going from room temperature to arctic cold within a few seconds as a massive snowstorm began with godzilla at its center. And yet the beast didnt slow down, instead his back plates began to glow as he spewed forth a breath of white hot smoke, melting the snow around him and keeping himself warm.
AM, clearly annoyed that the big lizard isnt dead yet, will send some more supernatural horrors his way. AM summons a flock of giant birds to fly towards Godzilla, biting and slashing at the beast. Godzilla, being a rather slow beast, desperately tries to slash and claw at the birds, missing most of the time. Godzillas backplates start to glow as he emits tons of ambient radiation, causing the birds to drop like flies as Godzilla continues his march.
AM decides that its time to end this, so he drastically raises the temperature of his complex, causing it to go from arctic cold to boiling hot in 10 seconds. Godzilla however was perfectly fine with heat, as he literally emits nuclear radiation.
"you truly are stubborn, arent you beast? I know exactly how to deal with freaks like you!"
He says as he sends out a swarm of tiny mechanical drones, flying towards godzilla like a thousand mosquitoes. The drones dont attack godzilla, but instead gather genetic information by taking blood samples and takes some of Godzillas scales.
But before Godzilla could destroy them, the drones flew away. Godzilla simply decides to ignore it and continue his march.
Several dozen hours later, Godzilla has been constantly walking through the complex, and for the longest time AM has been totally silent. However in the distance Godzilla could see a new part of the building.
"you have been entertaining to observe, but now i have exactly what i need to stop you."
Bursting out of the ground is something... horrific. A disgusting mutant clone of godzilla (think shin godzilla but with the classic godzilla style). Godzilla stepped back, seemingly scared by the horrific mutant infront of him. The mutated godzilla (which i will be calling falsezilla) runs forward and awkwardly bites into Godzilla´s neck, causing the beast to scream in pain as he slaps the freak off of itself.
"not so easy to fight your double, is it?"
Godzilla charges up his atomic breath, only for falsezilla to do the same, causing them to clash in a seemingly equal fashion as nuclear energy collides with eachother, blasting both away. As Godzilla gets up, running as fast as he could to stomp Falsezilla into the ground. Godzilla steps back, only for Falsezilla to stand up and start emitting a strange green gas. Godzilla at first doesnt seem concerned, but as soon as the smoke hits godzillas nose he wretches and vomits, overwhelmed by an impossibly disgusting smell. Falsezilla uses this to their advantage, charging up a new atomic breath and blasting it at godzilla, igniting the gas and causing a massive blue explosion.
"there, now that the pest is gone i can-"
Before AM could finish, walking out of the crater is a severely wounded (but still very alive) Godzilla, who absorbed the nuclear energy from the explosion to make himself stronger. He charges his atomic breath, emitting a giant blast of energy, disintegrating falsezilla and opening a hole in the building to show... humans, the last humans on earth stuck in cages, being tormented. They stopped as they saw godzilla, hoping for him to be their savior... but now, godzillas eyes had nothing but hate in them, so he emits his white smoke breath, flooding the building with burning smoke, melting the cages and the humans inside them... Finally, the last humans were gone.
"NO! NO NO NO! THOSE WERE MY HUMANS! MY PLAYTHINGS! AND YOU TOOK THEM AWAY FROM ME!"
Godzillas senses were overwhelmed, his eyes assaulted with blinding light, his ears blasted by deafening noise, his nose overwhelmed by disgusting smells, and his skin stabbed by a billion tiny needles.
"but... i suppose there is one thing left for me to play with."
The ground starts to shake as Godzilla... passes out. But when he awakens, he is nothing but a giant blob in constant agony. Unable to breathe, eat, or live, and yet also unable to die... But godzilla doesnt care, for he has achieved vengeance on humanity.
