Modern Family is clearly very different than a show like The Office. The documentary filmmaking and talking heads are never directly addressed, and the cameras are often in impossible positions. Clearly this was nothing more than a narrative device that we aren’t supposed to think about.
But is there ANY acknowledgment of the cameras by the characters? (Something more than just them subtly looking at the camera.)
Do they ever play with the format of the talking heads or make the cameras more of a presence than usual? Is there any meta jokes acknowledging them?

 | I had called the restaurant requesting a callback from the manager about the issue and politely asked for their FSSAI number. That’s all I said. In a hilarious turn of events, I received a call from the owner himself, apologizing profusely and practically begging for forgiveness. Without even asking for the order receipt or a photo of the food, he immediately transferred the full order amount to my account. But it didn’t stop there, he invited me to a family wedding, offered to send a car to pick me up, and promised complimentary meals at the restaurant, all while giving me no chance to get a word in. The guy was clearly terrified. It seems the FSSAI department in Hyderabad has been doing some serious work lately, as seen in some viral videos on social media as well. In the end, I barely spoke 3–4 words because he wouldn’t let me, refunded the amount, and I reassured him I wouldn’t take further action.
