Interviewing several virtual assistants for my business and trying to decide the best skillsets.
Preface: For the business i'm hiring, we have an industry specific set of software required to interact with manufacturers we contract with. We often create Purchase Orders, Quotes & Invoices for our customers through this software. If deciding between a few product options, we can even pull out our manufacturers products and do a presentation were we send our customers a few options of products from different manufacturers so they can compare and contrast the products.
During this short process it seems there are two sets of candidates.
Group A - The smaller set of candidates have the experience with the software in question and within our industry and narrowly focused on providing just the area of support we're asking for.
Group B - The remainder of candidates are those that are very eager to learn the software in order to support us along with getting to know more about our business and the ability to handle some tasks outside of just the support area we're looking to fill.
So what's my hesitation
Those candidates who want to really be part of our team but don't have the specific software capabilities really resonate with me due to their interest in our overall business.
Those candidates who already have the expertise are more confident in their skillset to handle the software but are doing this for other companies too. My sense is they will probably do a decent job but just being a cog that may not doing much outside of a few specific tasks.
Does anyone have experience when choosing between candidates like this, how have you decided who is best. Personally, I believe software is just a tool. Give two people a chainsaw, maybe both can cut logs but maybe one can also fell trees, carve animal sculptures and build log cabins too.
I guess the question is, will just getting someone who can cut logs be valuable to my business?

I had a new client message me 2 days ago asking if I could board her dog over Christmas for 10 days. My first long term boarding since I started sitting, I answered her within half hour saying yes I could do it, and she sent another message confirming that she would like to do a meet and greet. I answered within the hour with my availability next week for a meet. She never answered. I sent her I think three messages Thursday (2 days ago) (after her last message), 1 message Friday morning to follow up and still haven't heard anything. Should I message her again or just let it go? I don't want to bother her but also it's getting closer to Christmas so if she waits too much longer she won't get a boarder.

Extraction was on Tuesday afternoon (3days ago) and at some point I saw that my hole was almost fully covered, but today I’ve noticed that it becomes… empty? As shown below. I have pain but it’s not killing me (yet?). I’m afraid it will turn into 100%hardcore dry socket overnight. Of course I keep googling like crazy so I’m getting even more crazy. I’m almost sure it’s a dry socket, just don’t know when that terrible pain everyone are talking about will start?? In addition, I’m a huge nicotine addict and it’s hella hard for me to smoke only absolute minimum. So this additional stress is a really bad combo. So now I’m sitting here and crying like 10yo, even though I’m an old lady, huh. Help :(

Just looking for some advice here. I downloaded a few mesh fix mods and some mods that visually improve the terrain, but I'm not sure if I've overdone it and have mods running that do the exact same thing. Here's what I'm running for meshes and terrain:
Assorted Mesh Fixes
Static Mesh Improvement Mod
Skyrim Landscape and Water Fixes
The Omnibus
Is there anything here that seems redundant?
Also, my mountains and large rocks are all texture less and blue, so I assume one of these is the culprit. I'm sure I can figure that out on my own though by trial and error. Any advice as always is appreciated!

2024.11.29 19:39 mr_natty_light [Spoke 4] Error
Hey guys, my cousin and I installed this last night on game pass to try it out. My game launches fine and I was able to play with no issues but he keeps getting a [spoke 4] error code when he tries to connect to servers. It tells him to update and then sends him to the main menu with an update button where New Game should be. When he clicks update, it loops back around into the connecting to servers screen and eventually throws the same code. I have found very limited posts about it online and none of the suggestions worked. This is a last ditch effort to try and find somebody who has a fix for it. We have a few youtube videos to work through tonight but none directly address a [Spoke 4] error. Any ideas? TIA!

Using a USB-A 3.0 and an adapter for it to go into the USB-C port.
I swear this has been “installing” for over 15 hours now? Granted it’s a 28GB installation file but still. Would be nice to have a progress bar or a completion percentage.
