I had a random thought that I would love to discuss more in depth, and I’m excited to study this and the writings of the protestors more in depth at Franciscan University. I am curious how the “Sola Scriptora” theology justifies this…
Okay so where is the biblical proof that we, as Christian’s, have the authority to just start our own denomination or church ? While in scripture Jesus did clearly start His Universal Church and he clearly gave His apostles the authority to lead as His bishops (vicars). “Elders” in some translations.
And while I do understand that the first protestors were priests, that’s still begs the question, where did they get the idea that they have the authority to completely break away vs trying to better the Church like St Thomas Aquinas did.
Solly based on scripture, how can people break away from the Universal Church when there is nothing in the Bible that states that individuals have this authority ? I don’t really see anything that really hints that the average man has this authority.

Early in my career,
I worked with a product manager who wasn't the most technical.
They weren’t a detail freak either.
One day, I was struggling with a project and tried to push through alone.
He noticed and said, "Let's figure this out together."
A small gesture, but it spoke volumes.
That's when I realized the value of empathy in product management.
Now when I consider any team, the product manager is my top factor.
3 things I look for:
- User Empathy
- Do they understand the user's pain points?
- Have they spent time talking to real users?
- Are they driven by user feedback?
- Team Collaboration
- Do they value input from all team members?
- Do they create a space for open communication?
- Do they ensure everyone's voice is heard?
- Vision and Strategy
- Are they clear about the product's direction?
- Do they align the team with the product goals?
- Do they adapt to changes and new insights?
Look for examples of their past work.
Observe their interactions with the team.
You're not just building a product, you're also building a team.
A great product manager drives the team and product forward.
A poor product manager can lead to misalignment and failure.
Choose wisely.
