Hi so i 18F am in a bit of a pickle….
Ive been homeschooled since year 9 and only ended up with an English language gcse and a level 2 functional skills as my parents couldn’t afford for me to take any more… from 2022-2023 i was at college doing a level 2 in animal care, i know i had passed that however the college has lost my certificate and wont do anything about it… i then went on to do an apprenticeship for general farm work level 2 that i dropped out after doing 12 hour shifts everyday except Thursday, in December 2023.
Since then i have been working part for my mum at her etsy jewellery business and earning £60 a week. I decided in august that id like to go to college for art just to add another qualification, i was looking at a doing a ual level 3, but unfortunately i will be 19 before the course starts and will have to self fund the £4000 for it, which is not possible for me. I then look at lower courses but i have been told that i cant apply for them as i have already been on two level 2 courses.
I have been applying for jobs since early this year, i live rural and theres very few jobs i can get as i dont currently drive and none of them want to hire me as i have no experience. I feel like starting small businesses for my art might be my best shot but id really like to work around people as its very isolating working from home
I feel really stuck and i dont know what to do from here any advice greatly appreciated😊

 | I'm trying to hear my dad's old music on a beatmax I bought (SL-2710) and I'm getting no audio. I don't know what I'm doing as I was born in the 90s. Would anyone be able to explain why I'm not hearing anything? The machine seems to be working. I hooked up AV cables to my tv and just got static, same when I put in headphones. Does anyone else have a very altered perception of life due to sensory differences?
Obviously yes considering it’s a diagnostic criteria but—
The best way to describe it would be constantly being on molly or some other reality altering drug. The sun is shining through my blinds right now as I’m home sick and I’m crying a little at the beauty. It’s incomprehensible. I see so much of every person. It’s like I can see the nerves and spiderweb of the universe around me. I’m speaking in metaphors, I’m not experiencing psychosis and I am grounded in reality but my reality is slightly brighter and softer. Everyday objects like a soap dispenser or a plate of food can be so beautiful to me. I’m not the best at interacting with them but the people around me are like living art. Good music is like how people describe otherworldly sex. I am full of so much love. I try to do art, I paint and write but nothing can even come close to capturing what I see and feel that it feels sacrilegious to try. I am an atheist but I truly believe in another form of energy, life, being, just under the skin of this world. I am so full of wonder it’s like an incredible high just being alive sometimes. I am aroace which I believe is influenced by this as well. It’s far beyond just appreciation for life, it’s very rooted in my senses of touch, taste, smell, vision.
Of course, this goes the other way for the typical bad sensory experiences at Walmart and such. I’m not tripping balls all the time, I can work a bad shift or have a day where I’m annoyed by everything, but I feel like sometimes my sensory differences make the world living and moving art around me.
Just wondering who else sees the world like this?

2024.11.29 19:51 Ciaran_The_Heister Does anyone know how to get out of Nassau County Traffic Tickets?
I've never gotten a speeding ticket before so this is pretty new to me. I'm not a reckless person and at the time I had a girl in the car so I wasn't trying to drive like an idiot. It was late at night and I had to be up for work in 6 hours but I was still only going about the flow of traffic. The limit on the Southern State is 55, but at night people go well into 70-75 since there are much less people on the road. When I was in the meat of traffic I was going at least 20 over the limit and I still had like 5 people cut in front of me because I wasn't going fast enough. If I went any slower I would have probably gotten into an accident but still, I wanted to play it safe.
So I go by a few exits and eventually most of the traffic passes and now I'm the only person on the road and just as I realize that a cop flicks on his lights and pulls me over. I tried to explain the situation to him but he didn't wanna hear it. I tried telling him how tough shit is financially right now and how I'm still paying off cancer surgery bills (I got scars on my neck to prove I'm not just making that up) but it made no difference. I work in the post office and let alone the fact that this is like basically an entire paycheck worth of funds (If I'm lucky) and a whole day I have to call out of work it's gonna be points on my license so this could hurt my potential to even make money and I could lose my job.
Is there anything I could do to minimize the damage of this? I straight up don't know what I'm gonna do if I have to pay this, I haven't slept in days cause I'm so stressed out. I just don't have that much money right now and I really can't afford it. Is there any luck with getting these dismissed?

Sun Drenched Linen notes: clean linen, crisp apple, soft musk
On cold sniff, Sun Drenched Linen smells exactly like laundry detergent or washing powder - it's the soapy, fresh scent we all know and love. Im sorry I'm not giving more detail about the scent, but it straight up smells like laundry soap - there's really no other way to describe it!
I can see even the pickiest people enjoying this one as it's very inoffensive. Because of this, I think that Sun Drenched Linen has the most "gifting potential" out of all the candles I've reviewed so far.
During it's burn, I began to smell it from across my average sized bedroom within 5 minutes and it had filled the room in 15. Awesome performance for a single-wick! This candle is nice and strong without being overwhelming, furthering my belief that this would make a good gift.
Would I repurchase this one? Absolutely! The performance is great and the scent is great - there is really nothing to dislike here.
Final score: 10 freshly washed sheets out of 10

Been getting bored using Berkely sandworms, so I’ve been soaking small curly tail grubs and swimbaits in the sandworm juices. I’ve been fishing a slow and steady retrieve with the occasional pause and pop. I keep getting bites but I can’t seem to get them hooked. I’m using a #4 baitholder hook on a C-rig. Are there any tricks to getting them hooked once they start nibbling?
