2024.11.29 19:29 No_Entertainer_2905 WoW Randomly Freezing A Few Seconds (Brand New Computer) And Stalling Other Apps

Hello!
I've been dealing with the issue of random freezes for 3-6 seconds on this game for a several months now. Only World of Warcraft seems to create this issue.
I even bought a brand new computer hoping it would fix the issue but it still exists. I did copy all of my old addons/settings to this new computer so perhaps that's partially an issue but I have gone through them and replaced all of my WeakAuras.
When it freezes, I can still move the mouse and do other things but it appears to stall everything from an internet perspective, on my computer when it happens. For example if I'm watching Twitch, it too will stop and freeze during this few seconds.
As mentioned, I purchased a brand new I9 iBuyPOWER PC a few weeks ago hoping this would help but clearly the issue persists. I've tried adjusting and lowering all settings, but the issue continues. I even contacted by xFinity provider and I am paying for the highest internet speed. They did say there was an issue and a technician came and corrected it last week, but I'm still having this issue.
I do use XPadder and a controller to play this game though, perhaps that's the issue?

I purchased a 100' set of the Govee Pro Lights and am expecting them to arrive today.
I am going to run the power through the attic and want to know...Can I splice in and extend from the transformer and controller to the first light in the string - I think I read that the length of wire for that run is about 12 feet. I need an additional 10' feet to make it from where the last light will be installed and where I want to plug the lights in - total of 22' give or take.
Looking forward to getting these installed over the weekend.

This is kind of a last resort because I doubt there's much I can do, but I just bought a pair of Denon Perl Pro headphones. I like them quite a bit. But one of the things I really like to do is use my steam deck to pass audio from my phone to my headphones while I game. But with these new headphones the audio from the phone sounds terrible, I assume from Bluetooth interference. The phone audio is basically unusable and the game audio even cuts out a little like it's a live stream on bad internet.
For those that don't know, you can connect to the steam deck via Bluetooth as if it were an audio device, while having headphones connected to the deck. This lets you take phone calls or listen to music or an audiobook from the phone while playing a game on the deck. It's one of the coolest features IMO. I commute via train and sometimes have to take work calls while I'm commuting and I like to listen to books while I play certain games so this is a feature I use a lot because it makes all that so easy.
I don't really want to return these headphones, I really like them and they were kind of pricey, but this is kind of a deal breaker for me. I've had minor audio glitches before but never had this level of issue with another pair of headphones doing this. But it sounds
Does anyone know if there is any trick to fix this? Can the deck (or headphones) connect on a different codec or something? I think the perl pro default to aptX. Maybe that is the problem? I don't know a ton about bt codecs. The phone is a Galaxy s22 if that helps too.

I live in a super red-state and I'm queer so I'd really really like to go out-of-state. My major is a hard major to find lots of places so my school options are more limited.
Financial aid is an even bigger factor. For my FAFSA year (2023 & 2024) my parents made 260k+. My dad lost this huge contract and my mom was laid off, so our income is likely to decrease to the ~100k range for 2025. Before 2023 and 2024, our income was in the ~100k range as well, so it's not like we have a ton of savings. My parents are already paying my little brother's private school tuition, but my SAI is 80k. WTF do I even do in this situation? High-merit schools are mostly in the deep-red south, but there's just no way I could ask my parents to pay even 20k for my college (suddenly that's 60k to live on and we're not in a LCOL)
I'm terrified of getting stuck somewhere that's not safe for me (I could make it work but still) but I feel like even if I get in somewhere like an ivy, I couldn't even go because of finances and that's just a little heartbreaking. Idk much about the appeal process and if I could get more aid.

One of them I remember well, including the music and approximate animation style. I still dream of finding it and watching it again. It was very strange. It started with a pink elephant, and then the camera zoomed in on its small, bristly head. The shot got closer and eventually showed a louse/bug biting its scalp. Investing into longer stories like Ys or Trails really intrigues me, but before all else, I just want to have a really good time with a game before I make any serious commitments. If starting those games is the better choice, I'm all for it. Although answers may vary, I'm just looking for input on what might be your favorite in the listed games.
