2024.11.29 19:35 Chemical-Leg-1125 Car Shares Worth it or Garbage?
Currently looking at investing in some car manufacturers.
I’ve invested into Mercedes for around a year and I’m down around 20 percent but I’ve been considering doubling down.
As well as this, Aston Martin, Volkswagen etc are all down 40-50 percent on shares ytd (out of the European manufacturers anyway) . I’m 21 so I can hold for decades but I’m thinking is it just going downhill for the European vehicle industry?
So much market share is being lost to the Chinese markets, profit warnings are being dished out like no one’s business, Aston Martin is probably going to go bust for the 9th time but a bit of me thinks it’s an absolute bargain to invest right now.
I was wondering whether I’m being naive or whether this is might just be the best time to invest into vehicles manufactures.

To be clear, I'm a big Beatles fan, and I'm not trying to take a shot at them. Let me explain:
I was born in the 80s, but I grew up listening to my parents' music: I had CDs of the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys... And I listened a lot to this local station, KRTH-101, which played Oldies.
Now, as I've since learned, Oldies are not just old songs. They are Golden Oldies, which I define as music from the 50s, 60s, and maybe into the 70s, covering some of the classic rock era.
This was early rock and roll, and then all that grew out of it - Chuck Berry, Little Richard, The Twist, Louie Louie, Motown, the Wall of Sound, the Lion Sleeps Tonight, Sittin on the Dock of a Bay, Hang on Sloopy, Under the Boardwalk, On the Roof, ...
You guys know what Oldies are, I guess I don't have to explain, and I'm not doing a great job of it.
OK so I've got an oldies playlist going on Spotify, and I was thinking to myself "which Beatles songs would fit on here?"
What do you guys think? Are some Beatles songs more "oldies" sounding than others?

Went to the Ulta where the old toys are us was and as I was turning to leave, where I had the right of way at the four way stop, a woman keeps going straight and almost completely t-boned my car. Looked like she was completely out of it. Please beware of these terrible drivers around these areas, I’m so shaken up but so grateful that no one was hurt!
