 | Hi everyone! This is Link, my first ferret. He’s 5 months old and has been with me for about a month and a half. I’m from Brazil, and having a ferret has been a childhood dream come true. I’m committed to being the best owner I can be for him. I feel like we’ve already bonded. He follows me around sometimes, asks to be picked up, and even gives me little licks and playful nibbles when he’s feeling sleepy. However, I’m a bit worried about his activity levels. Link spends most of his time in his cage, but I let him out as much as possible—always for at least the recommended 4 hours a day. Despite this, I feel like he might be sleeping more than he should. During his out-of-cage time, he spends about 80% of it just walking around and exploring the house, with only occasional moments of play. I try to engage him with toys and interactive games, but he doesn’t seem very interested most of the time. I also don’t want to force him to play if he’s not in the mood. He seems to prefer rubber toys, which he picks up and hides under the sofa, but he’s not very interested in other types of toys. I’ve set up some basic enrichment, like tubes and boxes, and I’m working on creating more for him. I’m also preparing a dedicated room just for him and planning to get another ferret (a female which will be named Zelda) early next year to keep him company. I might be overthinking this because I care so much, but I’ve noticed that Link doesn’t seem as energetic as the ferrets I’ve seen in videos online. Is it normal for some ferrets to be less playful or active? Do you think I’m providing enough stimulation for him? Once when I was scrolling through YouTube I came across one of those stupid RomCom Manga videos. As a joke to myself, I decided to check the comments for an explanation on the plot. The basic gist was that MC meets this female debt collector, and his father owes 10000000 yen, (which HE needs to pay for sone reason) but he doesn’t have that kind of money, so they compromise. He will give her 100 yen every day until the debt is repaid, and they fall in love, happy ending, blah, blah, blah. However, setting aside the fact that these people legally cannot charge him debt, I calculated that 10000000 yen divided by 100 = 100000 days needed to pay off the debt. However, I then divided 100000 days by years to calculate that if MC gave 100 yen to FMC every day until he had given her 10000000 yen, he would be giving her money for… 273.9726 years! Apparently, the average Japanese college graduate (which the MC is) would have an average lifespan of 84 years. Now, I’m no expert, but I think living for 274 years (while constantly losing money) is a little unlikely for the situation, especially since the oldest recorded human being to ever live was female (women on average live slightly longer than men) and only lived to 122 years of age. An impressive feat, sure, but 273.9726 is exactly 2.24567704918 times larger than 122, which is just… a LITTLE unlikely, don’tcha think? ~🎶Rue is overthinking things again🎶~

For context we've been taking care of 4 small dogs for over 6 years already, all 3 are shih tzu and 1 being a pomeranian. All 4 of them are really caring dogs and playful now 6 months ago a close friend of my dad gave us a puppy a mixed breed of bully x maltese. Initially i was against since bully are medium-large dogs but my parents love her since she was cute and all as a puppy, growing up ang kulit sobra and eventually we've all grown attached to her, pero since last month nagiging aggressive mga small dogs namen sakanya mas malaki na siya sakanilang 4 and pag sobrang playful naiinis yung mga maliliit kase ang kulit nga sobra. Pati sa food madalas nya agawin food nung maliliit kahit madami ng portions sakanya, so ngayon everytime we feed her kinukulong muna para di nya naaagaw food pero last night nakawala siya sa kulungan and nakiagaw ng food and it ended up badly kase nagalit yung inagawan nya ng food tas yung bully is binite down nya yung shih tzu to the point na umiyak i broke up the fight but i ended getting bitten din sa hands ko, complete naman papers for rabies pero fist time kong maexperience yon and I'm so worried what happens next time na hindi ko mapigilan if ever magaway, to experienced owners here, what do you think i should do? Other than having them separated when it's feeding time? Pag outside feeding time naman they're friendly other than yun mga play time nila na naiinis na nga yung mga small dogs, what should i do? And my roommates all have plans with their family and friends groups.
